Aerologic 777 just off the southwest coast heading for SNN to drop off some horses.

must be some breeding in those seen as a plane comes from America to drop them off:eek::eek::eek::eek:

surely theres other things onboard also for delivery there or elsewhere?

    Hey All,

Not sure if it's been mentioned on here before, but here's a new 'virtual radar' website with what I'm sure is a welcome addition to the displayed info. I can't currently post URLS so I'm trying this.....

Breeder's cup was on last week so they are being dropped off probably on the way back from that.
That's all that will be getting off in SNN the flight will continue onto frankfurt with the rest of its load.

There are many race horse charters especially in the summer months. Atlantic Airlines G-JMCL is specifically used as a horse transport for the Dubai crowd & is in DUB every second week. That AN-74 that was in DUB in September brought over French horses, was the reverse a month ago bringing Irish horses to Paris. The Coolmore crowd often use a TNT 146 to the UK & France from SNN.

It's down now. Don't think its weather related as it's a very clear evening out thus far

One murderous diversion I spotted yesterday... inbound to LCY, didn't even bother trying... off up to Birmingham, no joy, ended up landing in Glasgow.

    Plan: Arrive at LCY,
    Actual: Arrive at Glasgow.

Couldn't think of a more painful diversion.. how many hours on the bus?

According to google maps its about 8 hrs :(

I'll be down off to Glasgow Central for the next train to London (4 hours) and sending the Airline company the bill!

It sure is a long time on a coach, prefer to get the train if not flying

Looks like it was the Granada to London City flight

I see Aer Lingus still at Knock. Shows on FR24 the it landed at 16.40. I know the fog situation in London causing delays but if FR 24 is right it's in Knock now for 4 hours.

Well was supposed to fly LCY - DUB last night and today and asked them to put me onto a Cork flight once it looked like no more planes were landing today. CORK!

Now on the train up to Dublin.

Any idea why certain flights would appear as "blocked" on FR24?
Right now, there's a plane heading south East over Kilkenny, squawk 5434, with no details on plane type, flight details etc. 41k feet altitude 480 knots.
I know it is most likely a business jet given the altitude, just odd to see so few details on the app.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,477 ✭✭✭highlydebased

Blocked at request of the operator basically, they don't want to appear on it.

Other sites like airwavesireland or planeplotter may show details

I've noticed the Aer Corps Pilatus PC9M's have been flying from Casement down to and overflying the Shannon area recently. Any reason for this? My thoughts are that the Cadets are getting cross country training in or something like that.

So with EI-DAA doing that london flight, Is there a long haul flight delayed?

or is there sometimes a spare A330 in Dublin not used an odd evening?

SNN fog now below CAT II limits, RWY24 RVR is 275m and RWY06 RVR is 250m (limit: 300m). Nothing scheduled for a while yet, although is there an omni 767 due tonight?
