After watching last nights episode I watched the very first webseries one where Boo gets introduced, he seems to be a totally different character then.

I saw the repeat just there now and I thought it was very good. Some of the good one-liners so typical of a "culchie" were back :D

Buzz is hilarious as well. Eddie's interaction with the uncle and Buzz re the sex addict was gas as well. And toastie getting kicked out and going on the dry :D

    Enjoying it so far.

Not the same as what though ?

If you are comparing it to the original YouTube clips then you are wasting your time.

The TV series has never been able to live up to that, the main reason being the duration IMO.

The TV show should be judged on its own merits.
    Season 1 was poor.
The Season 1 Christmas special was good.
Season 2 picked up where the Christmas special left off and was an improvement on Season 1.

This year sems to be more like Season 2 than Season 1.

I watched it back tonight and enjoyed it alot more than the first time I saw it.

I'm not too keen on the new opening credits, the new Garda, or the new text which I think take away from the crappy mockumentary feel that was in the first few series. It does feel a bit different overall but I'm prob being too harsh.

As I said I did quite enjoy watching it again tonight.

I watched the second episode last night. I thought it was fairly good. Some great lines but I'm damned if I can remember them now. It got a good few laughs out of me. Eddie's nympho girlfriend is class!

One thing I don't get is Salmon. Two things actually. I think they're featuring him more prominently now. Before he was a one-liner sort of guy. Less is more with Salmon I think. The second bit is that they went out of their way before to show that the russian woman he married was the real thing. I mean, I had suspicions that it was a convenience stunt on her part for either fanancial or residency gain but they pointed it out that it was the real deal. Now he's ridin' the arse off someone else? Some back story would have been nice. Maybe I'm just taking it too seriously.

Who are the Fair City actors by the way? I'm not a Fair City officianado!

I think Salmon is hilarious!! He really is that local guy who probably started out smarter than the rest but book smartness isnt suited for small town Ireland and he has just got more and more naive and simple as the years go by from locals not taking him serious. i think some of his scenes last ep. were a little too much however and he was almost like a caricature of himself in a way

i also miss Lexus and I love the dynamics between Aloysius and the lads.

ah there is a brain there somewhere. Its just that its been infected by the whole non progressive nature of Castletown. Even the lads refer to his deterioration over years. stuff like "hes been turned into Seamus' minnion" and "brains like Salmons are wasted in rural Ireland".

Watched it again, some lines are even funnier second time around.

Buzz getting Toastín to literally look in the mirror was another highlight :pac:

I don't think I enjoyed Buzz that much since the old youtube videos.

He was fair funny with The Viper's ex in the pub.

Banishing Toastín was the best bit.

    (Not even looking)

That's Aindrias De Staic. He's a trad musician and that's just how he looks. He's a bit mad too in real life!

that Fair City sex addict one is getting far too much airtime. Joke has worn thin at this stage.
