I assume that HighlandRadio thingy is just as biased as Limerick's Live 95:P
Limerick commentators said that Harps had absolutely no guile in the Limerick half and deserved to be a first division side, I'd love to show them 'that goal':P

Massive crowd tonight seems to have caused problems earlier on, sounded like a great atmosphere again, super 25 yard strike from the right full, all to play for on Friday night, long journey home for the Harps faithful.

We're not great going forward in fairness, final ball lets us down. But we battle like fckin vikings.

3 day turn around for part time players on buttons money taking off work today to travel 4 to 5 hours to a full time team with probably 10 times our budget. Proud of every man of them.

Except the Donegal man who scored the belter for Limerick. Their RB is from Killybegs!

Good result for harps even if it lost me my bet kane anytime goal and limerick -1. A typical Ballybofey November night with wind and rain and I'd fancy harps to do it.

There will be a massive crowd too. 4,000 odd I'd say.

Only one thing worse than going up to Ballybofey on a wet and windy day for a game and that's going all the way up to Ballybofey on a wet and windy day only for the game to be cancelled when you get there... there's a day I won't get back again.

You for the Theatre of Tin tomorrow night Swiper? I hear Lims were doing free and subsidised buses.

Very much a casual for the adopted hometown club, get along to the occasional match and have gotten carried along by the story of this season. I'm actually a Cork City supporter and spent a few years following them to the odd provincial venue during the late 90s, early 2000s. Never made it to Ballybofey though it was high on my wishlist, got to most other LOI grounds alright.

Good luck tomorrow, I know its a big deal for ye're crowd but it feels like a huge match in and for Limerick, it's the first time in over 30 years that the strong Junior soccer scene in limerick has even rowed in behind the LOI club, a lot of the good work done could be lost if they go down now, or at least put back a few years.

I live and work round the corner from Chapter One but have never been! Went to Locks back when it got one and it was lovely. Fallon & Byrne is probably my fav place to go right now. Keep on meaning to try rustic stone but whenever we head over we just think may as well just go to f&b!

If you're near there you should try the Hot Stove opposite the entrance to the Rotunda. Doesn't have a star but it's on the way.

Ridiculous to leave it to 4am to call off the rail strike. It's as good as useless now for a lot of people. I left home a half hour early planning to get Dublin Bus into the city centre so now I'm 40 minutes early for the train I do get.

    Hello folks,

Quick favour to ask, i need to get flyers printed for next week so out of the two below which one are you most likely to at least look at before throwing straight into the bin. I know myself i hate getting flyers but occasionally i'll look at one if there's something striking on it as i pick it up. `Also if you are arsed actually reading either of them and notice any typos feel free to point them out too!

All feedback welcome, many thanks in advance :)

I think it depends where they are going to be seen and whether you just want them to be seen or have some who might become a customer actually read one.

In most cases free beer will get the most looks but the first one is probably going to give you the better ROI. Also the big block of text on free beer is a bit much I think the general layout on 20% off is better and it has the call to action big and visible at the bottom which is important.

If I were at a trade show and got handed the two of these free beer would be going in the bin and 20% off would be going in the bag. If I were looking for this sort of work a marketing attempt like that would put me off. I guess some might see it as creative but I see it as a bit desperate like a certain restaurant on Georges St just not my cup of tea. I do like tea though maybe a free tea one would work!

Thanks Jimmi! Really appreciate the honest feedback, i plan to have them put into the letterboxes of all the small to medium size businesses in the industrial estates/business parks (of which there are many) in my locality.

It's exactly your honest reasoning that made me put the two together in the first place. I made the one on the left first but then thought maybe it just looked like every other flyer that comes through the door. The one on the right while i fully agree it's cheap marketing was to lead into the actual text "now i have your attention isn't it time your website had the same effect?" as in i want to get your website noticed. At the end of the day though what i want is obviously more clients so getting outside opinions on which to print helps a lot. dont want to throw money down the toilet:rolleyes:

    Couple of typos:
    Left hand flyer:
3rd last line of 2nd paragraph:
    ...save you money in future
    2nd last line:
    I also look to improve...

    Right hand flyer:
    2nd line:
..in today's competitive market... (incl. apostrophe)
    3rd last line:
    ...features to.... (incl. space)

The first is by far the most likely to be read by me, who would make the decision, than the free beer one. We see a lot more of that approach being used for flyering lately I don't even look at it. When I pick up the post you have from then until I reach my desk to get the message across as a flick between bills! If the first thing I see is "free beer" I don't read any further its written off as spam if I see 20% off web development and I am thinking of maybe make some changes online then its a hell of a lot more likely to be kept to check out more!

This for me too. The free beer one is definitely more of an attention grabber but the other one looks far more professional. Potential clients would appreciate the one on the left hand side a lot more IMO.

Thanks lads, appreciate it! Looks like i'll be printing out the left one so and shelving the cheap marketing ploy :D

@Liam thanks for pointing those out, hard to see the errors when you're staring at it for so long yourself!

    @Jimmi what forum is EB&M?

    Entrepreneurial & Business Management

Give as much detail as possible if you just post the two images you'll just get slaughtered or ignored! Say where you are going to be dropping them and who you are looking to appeal to what the aim is etc to get the best response.

Good stuff! Its not a forgiving place but I feel that is its strength really. If you go there with a half arsed idea you'll not get a good reception but if you go in there with a thought out idea and clearly explain your intentions then you will find a very helpful group of people. I've learnt a hell of a lot from posting in there.

I'd go with the left one, beer one looks more of a scam/false advertising.

The potential for the league in Ireland is incredible. 4k in Limerick on Monday, 3k in Ballybofey last night.

    Massive congrats again FHFC.
