Getting the train from the M3 Parkway to Pearse, I have to change trains in Clonsills or Broombridge and the second train I get (coming from Maynooth) is jammed.

One of my friends is after telling me I should just go direct to Docklands Station from the M3 and walk to Lower Baggott Street from there.

Google Maps says its 2.1k to where I'm working so doesn't sound too bad.

Would Broombridge be a regular change? Not the sort of place you want to spend much time to be honest especially after dark.

I would go direct and walk but I like a stroll in the morning.

Good luck in the new job!

I assume you are still living somewhere in Cavan, that's a tough enough commute, I hope they're paying you well.

In saying that I'd like to work in Dublin City centre, probably spend a fortune on lunches though.

Good luck in the new job

If you're a fan of the hot chicken roll it's very cheap if you're a fan of dam fine burritos then you're in trouble!

I'm a fan of places with Michelin stars outside the door:pac:

In all honesty when I find myself in Dublin I drive myself mad trying to figure out where to eat, always worrying about the things I won't be able to get because I've filled up elsewhere, I've thought about bringing a large sick bag around with me:o:p

I live and work round the corner from Chapter One but have never been! Went to Locks back when it got one and it was lovely. Fallon & Byrne is probably my fav place to go right now. Keep on meaning to try rustic stone but whenever we head over we just think may as well just go to f&b!

I often pop into Fallon and Byrne to pick up a few things I can't get here in Limerick, it's often the last place I go before I pick up the car as I usually park in Drury or Clarendon street.

If you are living by Parnell square then you must be spoiled for choice with Asian restaurants, I've had a coupe of nice meals up around there.

Have you been up for dinner? Steak is just superb! Well with the late drive home!

I'm on Capel St just surrounded by Asian places! Lucky I love Asian food!

Never been upstairs at all, often use the deli and the butcher counter, I'll try it out sometime when I have company, most of my business in Dublin is either on my own or with the 4 kids in tow.

I like a walk myself and 2km sounds like a nice brisk 20 minute walk when the weather isn't bad.

I'm the kind of man that brings lunch with me! I did meet the head of my new employer at a local cafe about the job originally though. €4 for a small glass of orange juice!

Have a look into dublin bikes too Lemlin save you walking every morning. 20 euro for the year. That 2 km shouldnt take 5-10 mins so would be free.

Can't see past a limerick win tonight unfortunately.

No harm yo be written off! The results on Friday were reported widely as Limerick having effectively stayed up already.

We just need to keep the tie in the balance for thr socond leg. I'd take a 1 goal defeat right now.

    A draw would be fantastic.

We've only lost twice in 15 games but this is different calibre opposition, although Limericks great escape form faltered somewhat towards the end losing 3 from the last 5.

We're hard to play against though and gave Longford a hard battle in the Cup only losing on penalties after a replay.

There's a possibility of seeing the Northern Lights tonight in Ireland (not just the North, but also in Dublin, depending on the conditions). Should be clear skies too.

Still too far north for me. Definitely planning to travel to Norway sometime to see them

I was in Iceland earlier in the year and didnt see them at all unfortunately. Doubt they'll get down as far as Cork tonight either.

A few weeks ago they were visible as far south as Cobh, so who knows.

My wife does a course on Monday nights and with the kids to be minded I'm missing out on the action in the Markets Field tonight as well even though I can hear the stadium announcements from my gaff.
It's massive for Limerick to stay in the Premier to build on the goodwill built up since the move back to Garryowen. Pity it has to be the Harps who I've grown a little bit of a grá for in recent months, good luck to all concerned but I expect a Limerick win tonight by at least two goals.

Hah. Good to see my mission of feigning interest in random topics, infiltrating Internet forums and gently brainwashing random strangers to like Finn Harps has paid off after only 2 and a half years.

I couldn't give a toss about FPL really. Success fellow agents. We can move on to MMA at last.

Meanwhile the Harps supporters bus blew a tyre, and then another tyre somewhere near the Clare Inn and will be lucky to make the game at all.....although from what i hear ate rather relieved to be alive.

That's it lads, get all the bad luck used early.....

In the real MNF the mighty Harps lose narrowly 1-0 in Markets Field and its all to play for in front of a massive crowd on Friday.

17 year old striker missed a sitter and a decent penalty shout denied. Far from overwhelmed by Limerick by all accounts....

    Whoop.
