If you still want to be friends with him then take control of it. Let him know when you want to go out for lunch and when you want to do something. Don't be dictated to.

T/A with my own post. I believe I just used management speak.

    Kill me

Just had a conversation with a girl I was in college with. She's getting married and thinks it's totally natural that she has the final say in what wedding guests wear. (Guests not bridal party). I'm not close with her and it's her own gig but I think she's somewhat dragging the arse out of "her day". Not sure why it annoyed me. Probably the walking cliché aspect. For example her xMother wants to wear a hat but THERE WILL BE NO HATS at this wedding. Seems unnecessarily controlling to me. Oh well, I won't be invited or anything so it's none of my business.

If Mrs E and I were invited, we would both wear wedding dresses just to piss her off!

Seriously though, it's so easy for men. "Well I only have one suit, and it's blue, so it's that or I don't go!"

Sometimes it is nice when bridezilla gives you a reason not to go to their wedding!

See, I quite like weddings when I'm close with either or both the bride and groom. I've been to some of the most romantic days where love and happiness and hope were the theme of the marriage and those days are so special to me that I just felt kind of sick when I realised that fashion is the theme of that girl's marriage!

I blame Franke. Hats off to him for making a fortune telling people what they "need" for the perfect wedding.

TA - Eternal's post makes me feel like a witch :p It is true though he is shy, which is why I haven't been hard on him. if he was a complete gobs*ite I wouldn't have a problem telling him to get along outta that :pac:

Bit late to this. I was "working". The situation sounds a lot simpler with that explanation. Set some boundaries and see where that gets you. If he still clings on every single day then drop him like a dead weight.

The fact that I now wish for a can of 7up with frightening intensity.

TA that the coffee machine in work is broken :( I just had some instant coffee but it's just not as nice. Thanks to the bad weather I can't go out to get a decent coffee either.

When I read one of those MSN articles on saving money and realize that I already do 20 of the 22 slides. :(

Had a cup of tea to quench the 7up thirst and now my mouth is dry.

This has been a disaster of a day :(

    This crap!

This new way of presenting web pages. I don't like it. I have no idea the reasoning behind it, but suspect that somehow it's related to site traffic metrics and advertising.

Also, when in a bar having morning coffee, and I'm just about to pour the milk, when someone passes by behind me without so much as an 'excuse me', and knocks me forward, so I overshoot the coffee and end up pouring milk on the table, and then it looks like my fault!

    Arsehole :(

Nearly lunchtime, I know he will be waiting for me. He might even approach my desk if I am not around. What will I do? Hide in the bathroom and then go out for lunch?

    FYP.
No such thing as bad weather, just poor clothes choices.
The Irish obsession with weather drives me nuts. It's like this at this time of year, every year, are you not used to it by now?

And then, today, at work, the dismayed faces at the window as yet another heavy shower batters the building.

    What a waste of bandwidth.
It doess amaze me that people believe others want to do dozens of their snaps of every bloody thing they do...
    Mind you, instagram is popular.

People who have to have something done in ten mins. You let them known this is not possible and it will be 30 mins before it will be done, they call you back in 25 mins to say they cannot wait.....FFS if you went with what I said in the first place, it would be done in another five mins!!

Just heard the new Adele song. It's a good song, but wait a couple of weeks of hearing it 12 - 15 times a day on the radio.

TA'd that the Skeff in Galway seems to think its a disco now, booming music all night, ruining my night out with my friends as I couldn't hear a thing and just wanted to catch up as I hadn't seen some of them in months :( Its a pub, be a pub I went there because they wanted to drink and they do nice cocktails so I thought we'd have some cocktails and talk and have a good night but nope :( Got soaked on the way there, boiling and deafening inside, tired after graduation and it was so packed with graduates I couldn't get to the bar and since some of my friends are smokers the only place we could talk was outside under the marquee which some drunk a*****es were shaking so I got soaked and they knocked my drink all over me and I stunk of alchol and went home early because the night was going nowhere :( Can't wait until I'm in my late 30's and my friends want to meet for a meal or coffee and I don't have to drink (look like a weirdo otherwise).
