Ireland already has. By the way OP already a thread on this

    Ever again, I mean.

That sh1t was disgusting. It tasted like if someone had eaten tonnes of Tayto crisps, had let them settle a little while, and then burped right into your mouth.

I wonder if this will eventually lead to Craig Doyle being eliminated.

Every dark cloud, as they say.

Basically. I had one and it just tasted like stale tayto. New innovation will be tayto sausages and tayto beer.

So Tayto is going from being 75% German owned, to 100%... I think the time for the wailing and gnashing of teeth has long since passed!

The Germans have realised they never needed a war to take over Europe, just the stupidity of the people in the rest of the inferior nations. Fair play to them.

    Dear God!

First Diageo came for our Guinness and I said nothing, because I don't drink Guinness.
Then they came for our Cadbury's and Kraft turned it to shoite, but I didn't mind because I prefer a Galaxy.
    But this!
I tell you, I'll be boycotting the new Tayto sauerkraut flavour that's for sure! Unless it goes really well with a Pilsner, actually that sound pretty good!

Sauerkraut flavoured crisps? Don't be ridiculous.

Germans are all mad about paprika flavour. Been here four years and never seen sauerkraut flavour. But plenty of paprika. It's literally almost the only flavour of crisp in the supermarkets. Does my head in (apparently anything else is too exciting for the German palette).

I could imagine the Germans abolishing all other flavours for that reason...

A case of déjà vu here on my part, but out of interest are the tayto in Northern Ireland a separate company than the ones down south? I can't remember if I asked this before whilst on the tear or if I dreamt it.

Anyway my mate says the tayto down south are s@it whilst tayto cheese and onion up here is gods gift. I don't like cheese n onion anyway but know ones who get them shipped to USA, Australia etc to satisfy their craving.

NI Tayto licence the Cheese and Onion flavour from their southern counterparts who came up with the flavour. But they are separate companies. Southern Tayto can't legally sell their crisps under that name in the UK. I think the same is true for NI Tayto in the south.

NI Tayto own "Golden Wonder" which is on sale in GB (and ROI?)

just like Cadburys tastes cat now that Kraft own them.

I haven't noticed the difference in taste to be honest though I did notice something strange today.
Either the Cadburys Purple Snack is getting smaller or my hands are getting bigger.

Germans own Siucra too. That name is ironic since there is nothing Irish about the company anymore.

"Irish" Lyons Tea is made in UK

Siúcra is not only non irish but not made here anymore - just like HB ice cream, Boyne Valley Honey, Jacobs biscuits - all made abroad.

Think Harp larger is UK now only since Dundalk site closed if they even still make it (maybe some made in Dublin?)

jaffacakes used be Irish - don't think so anymore.

Open to correction on above as things seem to change quickly.

    “Roll it back”

You'll find the Germans annexed our peanuts and Hula-Hoops nearly three years ago, when Intersnack acquired KP. :D

News just in, Enda has called the army in to guard the crisp vending machines.

This may not be true .
