De Bruyne is on fire and Sterling and Navas will be handfuls, Bony knows how to score against us too. Testament to City's squad depth that their two best players are injured and they still have a very good forward line

I just hope we are tighter than we were against Arsenal and Van Gaal doesn't do anything stupid with the team selection/tactics.
I can't see LVG being so naive again - I think he was genuinely shocked and upset at how Arsenal took us apart... he got his tactics so wrong that day that it will stick in his mind indefinitely I think.

Just look at the response v Everton and how we set-up..

If somebody is a United fan and they are jealous of Man city, then I would question their support. They will never ever be a club that will surpass United in any shape or form.

My point is that they are building for their future, investing in top class facilities and have shed the cowboy image of the Gary Cook days.

United and City have identical form going into this game over the last 6 games and it could be argued City had much the easier time of it with regards fixtures...

Why do you so often have to make a pointless comment when you see two posters disagreeing on something in here?

I don't have to and I don't do it often. Same way you don't have to reply to me. Lots of pointless, smart ass harmless remarks\pics etc get thrown about in here. No need to over think or analyze them.

You do it often enough. Doc has just made his (possibly slightly annoyed) post where he's leaving the conversation and it's over. But then you chirp up to poke it with an inane comment. It's annoying.

No overthinking involved. These particular comments you make when you spot two other posters arguing are annoying.

hmm, signed Nastasic -got rid of him.

Signed Jack Rodwell, got rid of him.

signed Negredo, got rid of him.

signed scott sinclair, got rid of him.

and so on and so on.

    DDG
    Darmian---Smalling--Jones----Daley
    Carrick
    Morgan
    Mata
    Herrera
    Martial
    Rooney

that will be the team (only change i can see is TV could start) unless there are injuries/knocks after wednesday. Herrera for example got hurt in the last 5 minutes, so he could be a doubt.

    Rooney will score also.

Adebayor, Balotelli, Garcia, De Jong, Santa Cruz, Tevez... You're right you really could quadruple that list

thats the team i think will play but im a bit worried about carrick at the minute has seemed off the pace so far this season

    Rooney will score also.

I fancy him to net one too. KDB is a fantastic footballer and a job will have to be done on him. I'm not terrified of City but no chance it will be the scoreline it was last season in OT

Even a lot of the hard core city fans don't like what city have become, a lot would rather not be in the champions league, would like to still be playing at Maine road and getting beat most weeks!!! make of that what you will

    .....good god

Seen OptaJoe tweeting that we've used the joint most players in the premier league this season so far with 24. Seems high so early in the season, big sign that LVG really not sure of his best team over last few weeks because we used pretty much the same starting 11 in first few games if I remember correctly

24 isn't that much to he honest.
Generally the same 7/8 players will start so he has an idea of his best team, but changes it for the opposition.
Would be more worried if he didn't change players

    Ddg
    Romero
    Darmien
    Valencia.
    Smalling
    jones
    Blind
    rojo.
    Schwein.
    Schneid
    Ander.
    Carrick
    Fellaini
    Mata.
    Young.
    Martial.
    Rooney
    Memphis

That's 18 that have played a decent part of the season.
    Wilson.
    Lingard.
    Peirera
    Mcnair
    Januzaj
    Shaw

Are another few who had minor roles this season.

It's a stat to rile up an agenda that a manger dosent know his team especially with those twitter accounts. The first 17 if want to exclude Romero is the main team that plays.

What? So they sell footballers? Those players couldn't cut it.

No other team buys and sells players. They grow them from the ball sweat of season ticket holders.

So De Gea joins Adidas. Hmmm, no idea what that means, if anything...

It means he will be one of the main poster boys at Utd for Adidas.. Can see him featuring heavily in ads....... I know Adidas sponsor Madrid too, but Utd seem to be Adidas's favourite at the moment....

I posted something like this the other day,as you say the hardcore seem to have a weird fetish about the old days when they were struggling-it seems more real than the manufactured version of the club that exists now.I know one old timer who doesn't actually like going to the Etihad and gets nostalgic about the old days.

its 100% true, some of the older hardcore fans used to love going to the pub, then down to Maine Road, was a real football stadium, they got beat most weeks and they could give out about it but when they won the craic was brilliant as the wins were rare. they knew all the players and probably drank with some of them.

then overnight are taken over by multi billionaires who pump millions into the club. i think they had deadline day bids on Robinho, Kaka, few other superstars i cant think of now, sign Robinho, the club grows and grows, fans become isolated.

they cant even sell out the ground for games v Barcelona, Real Madrid, Juventus, if that was United/Arsenal/Liverpool etc you would find it extremely hard to get a ticket
