    Evening all. How's life?

    Why is it so hard writing messages on dating sites? I mean, they've written so much about themselves, as have I, and even with mutual interests, it's hard to construct a message that stands out. I do come across friendly, but perhaps I could sound a bit more exciting.

    We're thinking about going to New York for New Years. Himself books holidays when works stressing him out. He's under serious pressure in work with some deadline looming so luckily for me, he wants to get away.

    Something to look forward to since I detest Christmas

    I wouldn't be a fan of Christmas either and this will be the first time in 4 years where I'm actually home for it.

    It's such a miserable bull**** time of year. I spent last Xmas on my own eating selection boxes the whole day, I didn't even put pants on. That was a good day. If I could get away with not even acknowledging it, I'd be happy

    I wouldn't be that bad now but I do think Christmas is just for the kids, although for me I do get 3 days off work so it's a win win for me :D

    Ah, I don't feel so bad now. I've five off, but back in for two and a half days (or maybe just two, if we get NYE off). It was so depressing being in work last year. The place was dead, and there was barely a soul on the road.

    Christmas can be for the adults too. Sure, adults can be just as excited as the kids in the lead up to the big day, and the big day itself. The only difference is that us adults don't believe in Santa :rolleyes:

    All good here :) Yeah, I'll probably do the same. There's some sort of a parade in town on Monday, which I plan on going to with a few others.

    Best of luck to her :) It's common to go over a few days, so you could be waiting a little longer.
