    Wasn't there a link on the DCM site last year where you could link a live tracker to your FB page?

    I can't see it there at all now. It was handy for herself knowing where I was.

    hopeing for a better run this year, did it in 3:32 last year, but i died badly in the last 6 miles, i lost a month through injury last year, so this year is injury free. so hope to do better. i am tempted to go with 3:20 pacers, but i will probably air on caution and go with 3:30 pacers for a bit and then move on

    Looks perfect a gentle breeze until midday and then picks up when it's behind you to blow you home for the last 4 miles :)

    I think Met Éireann might be doing weather updates on the marathon route closer to the time on their Facebook page.

    Could be interesting to see if they do. It's good they showing a bit of interest anyhow. Although I don't tend to focus so much on weather as it's another issue to worry about that I can't control.

    Best of luck everyone. Hoping for a sub 3:30 this year after blowing out at last years attempt and finishing 3:37.

    Does anyone know if you collect someone else's Number/registration at the Expo?

    I know the option was available last year if you had their signed acceptance slip but I can't see it on the website or any of the info sent out by them by email?

    If you can collect it, does anyone know what you need e.g. the other persons ID?

    It's too early to expect the forecast to be accurate. The same site yesterday predicted cool, sunny, windless, and dry, all Monday. Now it's showing rain all day. Maybe time to hit up the boards weather forum...

    The exact words of the weather forecast just broadcast on RTE One

    "At the moment, it looks like Bank Holiday Monday could be a wash out"

    As long as it's not extremely heavy having wind with it, I'd actually be reasonably happy with that. Waiting around in it at the start would be the worst part.

    I had the same question so gave them a call. It's no problem as long as you have the signed permission slip and an ID belonging to the person.

    Saw a friend having a pizza (complete with pepperoni) the night before a marathon and was a little unsure if it qualified as a good source of carbohydrate. He proceeded to nail his target the following day.
