One of my brothers rang today. Said he got spare ticket for Argentina v Australia rugby semi. Flights booked for tomorrow evening. Home Tuesday. If I had time to think would probably of said NO! Hassle getting someone to milking ., bad time of year etc
Seems demand for tickets gone since all 6 nations teams gone.

Tickets could be got fairly cheaply for last weekends matchs on the streets before the game. Could of saved a good bot of money by buying off the touts. Really surprised me

Burnt all the hair on my left arm and singed my nails while rescuing a bloody beetle from a turf I was after lobbing into the fire. And did he say thanks!! Ungrateful leggy yoke. :pac:

Solid fuel cooker, heats the water for the house and keeps the kettle on the boil! It's on most days of the year and is lit between 9-10.

it's an old fashioned thing isn't it. friend of mines mother would be in her seventies and always has a fire lit. even though they have solar panels now she lights it. I'd say she likes keeping the lads busy cutting sticks. it's an excuse for them to call into her aswell for dinner or a cuppa and slice of cake!!

Yep, stop putting stuff in about 9 or that, occasionally it's still alight in the morning so just pile more on!

Just did all the genotype cattle there now, ugh, one bear of a cow caused havoc. Snorted, swung her head, tried to kick, even caught my arm against the wall as I went to tag her. Had to halter her and tie her head tight. Then she leapt the gate when her calf roared and baaed the place down while it was being done.

My mother lights her stove as good as every day only missing the very hottest days in the summer..

I'd say from now until May it won't fully go out, she loads it with briquettes at night and in the morning in with a few twiggs and a hoke round with the poker and its lit again.. Ashes taken out hot in a steel bucket..

My granny is 95 and she lights her stove every day, could be 30 degrees outside and the fire blazing in the kitchen!

We didn't have oil heating growing up and the cooker was the only heating, so we just kept it up and use very little oil, maybe an hour or two a day in winter.
