    Eldest applied for a holiday/work visa to Australia yesterday and it was granted today. He has just booked his flight for the 28th of Dec.

    Why do some shops put jeans with long legs on bottom shelf and those with short legs on top shelf :confused:

    I'm a short arse myself Daisy , was at a wedding awhile back when another small lad came over and asked did I buy long trousers and take them up or buy short trousers and let them down !

    True within the construction industry especially in the greater Dublin/Leinster area. I know lots of lads (and a few girls - engineers) who commute daily from Longford/Cavan to sites around Dublin.
    My lad is working as a barman in Dublin city centre. He works 6 nights a week ( starting 9,10, or 11pm to finish depending on roster) and in the last 2 months works 2 to 3 split midday (lunch) shifts per week included. He does not receive shift allowance or overtime hours which is a departure from what was normal JLC terms.
