Yea I get that I'm sure it's a hell of a lot easier and cheaper to do.

Still very cool but if it had been a 320I it would have been a tiny bit cooler :)

Ahh heyor, whats wrong with the 2.2 litre straight 6 hai ?

First time I've seen this, an e92 M3 with an e60 M5 engine:

Think it's been posted before, but I'd rather have this:

That would be cooler if the E92 hadn't been an m3.

Quiet! You're not supposed to arrive for another few days. Unless you've come back to the past already and have arrived here naturally. In that case don't fall for people calling you a chicken.

Do you know what Gatebil is man? Have a feeling you'd like it with a post like that :)

A friend called round for the match. Was telling me he went to Longford to buy a range rover, but didn't trust the guy who was selling it. Motor was way too cheap, and he didn't have the log book. He leaves empty handed anyway. Rings a guy in Celbridge who had a ml320 for sale. Liked it, bought it and that's what he drove here in today. God it was lovely. 2.7 turbo diesel, 100k miles, 2004. Immaculate inside. And he's doing a crucab job on it too.

He was sobbing that it wasn't a rr. First world problems.

You know ehen you are getting older #253 When you prefer a nice autobox inline 6 to a heavy clutch balls out i5 turbo that wails like a bainshee

    500km to a tank.

Sure, that's almost diesel mileage that.

There's something wrong with my boards. I posted twice in the picture thread and when I went back those posts were not there.

There are still glitches on it for me too.

Is the bmw a replacement for the st or just an additional car looks like a clean example you got they are probably getting scarce on the ground at this stage.

    Ah yeah.

The perfect car for trips like that. Giving 50-100kph pulls in 2nd out of towns and ****, then just settling in for the cruise with nothing but a faint humm.

Car im gonna keep for 6-9 months until i decide what i want next after selling ST.

Would like an E39 M5/E60 540/550I/645I/650I or maybe E55 AMG next or the like.

Abit of a mini project of sorts.

Have my E39 a year today, didn't realise how much a car could change someone, met a lot of friends from owning it and some great experiences because of those people, wouldn't swap it for anything! :)

Ah I always thought it was class on mazdas part to put a rotary engine in a production car sure it's not without its issue but then neither is any car. It's very easy to stick with the fcuk it the internal combustion engine works why change it but mazdas engineers went outside the box and took a risk and I think they came up with a unique car that's something a bit different.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,473 ✭✭✭YbFocus

It's when people add a third rotor into the mix that those cars become amazing :)

They're something every motoring enthusiast should at least try. Not necessarily own, but once in a while, take for a good spin.

Leave the ownership to us mad ones.

It's just a damn fun car to drive and own, rotary engine or not. And when you're not really 'on it', and just want to get from A-B in comfort, it'll sit back and do that too.

I'd never recommend one, but if someone asked me, I wouldn't tell them not to.

Oh so you wouldn't prefer the Yaris so :pac:

I would have thought you have it 6 months max how time flys. These BMW yokes must be good with everyone buying them. Funnily enough they must be the only brand that never crossed my mind to buy as my next car. This weeks obsession for me is Audi A4 B7. It's anyone's guess what I'll want next week I actually think I have issues at this stage :pac:

I haven't got to them yet :) . So far I've thought I'd like, a3, a4 b7, golf mk 5/6/7, scirocco, Clio 197, Jetta newer model, seat exeo, Alfa 159, Passat newer model actually like the new focus and Astra too probably wouldn't buy either though.

I have no intention of changing my car for a good while but just end up thinking about replacements anyway :pac: I am becoming what I've always feared I'd be like.

Vaguely, but nothing in depth. Might be worth looking into further!

Ye I like the mk6 Jetta a lot my auntie has had too. Great shape and interior. Trying to find one in 1.4tsi though they are all 1.2tsi and I think I'd like a petrol the next time for a change. Highline 1.4tsi would be the dream. They are fitting the mk7 golf interior to them from 2016.

    Nice list of cars :)

    Want a fairly comfortable V8.

M5 e39's without huge milage and dubious service history are thin on the ground now and a bad one can break you financially.

It is comforting to know you can buy as solid and good looking a car as that e39 though for between 1-2k

Never again will I drive an ecobox :)
