Haven't tried their nic. yet as I have a litre to use up first but got a load of flavours when the 40% sale was on and they smell quite strong, will do first mixing with them today so will post an update in a couple of weeks

I must mix up a non flavoured batch to see what taste the nic imparts.

Not too sure I want to know as I've got 500mls at 72mg of the stuff. I'm doing 10mg mixs so... (72/10)*500=3600 ... yeah that will take some time to get through.

Ah I do want to know! Slightly obsessive geek in me and all. The plan was to give juice to family/friends when I had something to be proud of.

Just did first mix with the nic. from everything liquid and there is no smell of it at all, 60ml of flavour to make up 1/2 litre of 25/75, now the waiting and bottle shaking

Anyone know of somewhere cheap for a load of empty 10/20/30 ml bottles?

I find all the usual vendors charge something stupid like €0.90 per bottle.

What type of bottle do you want?

Looking myself too. 30ml + 50ml glass with pipette is what I need.

I have this site bookmarked and might be worth a look:

I find wine bottles with screw cap perfect for mixing and then just refill smaller day2day bottles

Not complexing mixing by any stretch but I still have a question :) , just making up a bottle of single flavour juice ( lime ) , do these need to be steeped for as long as some of the more complex creations ?

Most single fruits are good to go after a shake, it's when you start adding creams and custards ect that a long steep in needed.

Bit disappointed with my latest attempt at The Milk clone. I used the standard concentrates as per the clone recipe but changed from vanilla custard to just normal custard (French company). Its got worse the longer Ive left it steeping. My last effort was far nicer. I now have Capella custard which im hoping will be better.

Nice find... in the bookmarks it goes!

Yeah still not gotten anything like this in bulk myself. Been using various glass containers I have saved here at home. I have some small mason jars that have been are great for mixing in and then can be sealed airtight - good for 100 to 300 ml mixes.

I only make small amounts, 30ml max but I'm using a pipette to transfer my vg, nightmare!! I have a blunt syringe but it won't fit through the neck of the bottle, I don't wanna have to get a scale or anything for jugs, would there be anything else?

Can u not pull out the plunger and pour it in the top of the syringe?

Also, if you stand your bottle of VG in warm water for about 10 mins before mixing it will become more fluid and easier to work with.

Always the simplest tricks that work best, thanks!

Just saw that posted in something else, I'll be trying that too, cheers

Get some mason jars and store your PG/VG/NIC in them. They come in many sizes and most shops with a kitchen section should have them.

They seal perfectly airtight and with their wide opening and easy access make it painless to extract from with a syringe.

Take the needle off the syringe too as that will make it much easier to pull up thick VG.

So , I found a lime I like and I made up 10 mls , actually 11 , 10 70/30 base and 1 lime . It's what I'm looking for as a day time vape so I bought another 100 ml base and another bottle of lime , rather than go to the bother of measuring it out I was just going to throw the two of them together into a jar ............. is that ok or am I being a bit to flippant ?

That would be fine, mixing isn't an exact science unless you are making juice for public sale, then you have to have the exact formula every time.
Half the fun of mixing your own is playing around with flavours you like and making something that suits your own taste.

The best advise I can give you is to keep notes, it's not so vital when mixing single flavours but as soon as you start combining flavours you will need to be able to replicate it if you make a good one.

Sooooo.... The TPD is on it's way in very soon now and in a moment of anxiety last night I was wondering about diy mixing supplies. Sure most of what we use is outside the scope of the TPD except for nicotine. The TDP states we can only be sold 10ml bottles containing a max of 20mg/ml - does this mean no more bulk nic for us?

I suppose a vendor could give us nic at TPD levels but for example I recently got a bottle of 500ml at 72mg/ml, the equivalent would be 180 10ml bottles - yikes!

Is it time to stock up on nicotine?

I'm planning to get 5L of 72mg and stick in the freezer anyway, that'll be 120L of 3mg liquid so should last a while

I'll double check just to be sure but Im near certain I read that VG based nicotine is far better for long term freezing.

I would be getting the VG based Nicotine anyway as it make for a little easier mixing when you only make high VG liquids

Ah cool, think I'll look into that as well seeing as all my concentrates are PG based.

Im not too far off trying 0mg nic anyway but I'll get a bit for freezing purposes anyway...

Another bargain Ive found (relatively speaking)

100 X 30ml plastic bottles available from the below for €27.19

    http://www.flavourart.co.uk/diy-mixology.html

Got them and 6 concentrates delivered for €57 plus parcel motel so €60.50 all in.

That should have you sorted not needing bottles for quite some time.
I got a 100 x 10ml bottles with the mixing bundle and bought an additional 25 or 30 30ml bottles and still have loads left months later.
Really took advantage of vape-escapes closing down sale as well so making last bits of liquid have cost me max 15 Euro per liter
