Just spotted the Fiat Tipo is set to make a return. Delighted as I loved the original

Yep next year in the UK but they don't mention it having any sort of interesting engine.

The Croma was poorly conceived but I'd argue the Bravo was a good car held back by the image of the Stilo. It deserved to do better. Fiat also killed it's residuals stone dead by flooding the rental market with Base spec versions.

    Mod edit. Pic too big!
I tested a 03 Trajet test yesterday, that's what the rear wishbone looked like.

So the car is gone in to get the glow plug module and dpf sorted mightnt even get the car back today.

Hate being car less and having to rely on public transport or my own two legs don't know how people live without cars.

Sometimes after changing gear (typically 1st to 2nd, or 2nd to 3rd), just after it's done my car kinda "judders" - loses power for a split second, which is quite noticeable and harsh. Foots entirely off the clutch at this point, so it isn't driver fault I think.

Any ideas what might cause this? I'm thinking air filter (please) or clutch (please no), but I'm guessing.

They only flooded the market (in tiny numbers relatively speaking) because people weren't buying them new.
The fact that it was perceived as a big punts wouldn't have helped, along with it not being as special as it Needed to be to fend off established rivals as well as the newer Korean competition.

Lol, I was offered a full time car valeting job! I thought it would be something I could do in my spare time, but alas no.

Now that you mention it, it's more pronounced/frequent when cold.

Commercial motor tax rates to change, now to range from between €92 to €900.

€900?? Is that to tax a space shuttle?

No mention of tax changes for domestic vehicles.

That's odd. Big fuel hike then?

Only tax increase were on fags at 0.50c. Tbh it's a nice budget and I think quite fair considering what we've had to endure in the past.
I imagine those on min wage are delighted at the increase, free GP care for under 12s and 2 week paternity leave

I still don't understand what was so wrong with them other than the reputation hangover from the Stilo but I do recall a lot of noise being made about the Cee'd when they were released. Pity as I do think the nicer spec models and engines looked and felt great

You have to factor the dealer network - or lack of.

Actually I looked up secondary teachers wages there recently as I was curious with all the teachers going on about how sh!t there wages were. When I looked it up the money wasn't really that bad at all.

Especially when you consider they don't really have a real degree you know arts and all that :pac:

    /runs away.

I was talking to a college friend today and he was in his car old model a4 2005. Now looking at it it was very clean inside and out granted it needed a valet but clean as in no damage or marks or wear even the steering wheel gearstick weren't that worn at all. I looked at the odometer 280k km.

Another friend has a 1.4 golf 2007 in spotless condition again no wear the inside is genuinely like brand new 240k km on it. Niether have had any major problems with their cars and Niether have any major interest in cars so they are just average motorists but they would mind them to a certain extent.

My whole point is if I seen either on done deal the minute I'd see the mileage Id eliminate them. Yet they are both very clean examples even if comparing to low mileage examples. So I suppose I think I've realised today I'm probably too quick to judge a car on its mileage when in reality in many cases it seems to be of no reflection at all. I suppose it's all about condition and not the number on the odometer.
