It crashed a few times before I successfully ordered one, and now I have three pending orders on the "My Orders" Page on the OnePlus site. One is "Pending Shipment" and I received and email (with same order no.) confirming my purchase, the other two are "Payment Pending"- I'm presuming I won't get charged for the 2 "Payment Pending" orders unless I actually select "Pay Now" and sign into Paypal right?

Yep - I even got a call about 10 minutes after I bought mine last week from my CC company checking that I had actually made the purchase and that it was not a fraudulent trade.

Anybody else having probs sending pics in whatsapp and viber? I can't seem to send them since weekend. I have tried force closing the apps under settings but doesn't make a difference. But if I restart the phone that works. I've checked the settings in the apps and can't find anything. Any ideas?

Hey guys, can anyone tell me why my OPO battery has been an absolute disaster since the last Cyanogen update? I had great battery before upwards of 23 hours , on light use, and now even on standby its lucky to go 9.

I've had this also. I've noticed the screen can easily light up to show notifications with the slightest touch or bump. Wonder could it be turning on in the pocket all day? It doesn't light right up as such, but there is some screen activity.

    Google play services:

Go into: Settings : Privacy : Privacy Guard : Menu ( i.e. 3 dots upper right corner): tick show built in apps : Go to Google Play Store: Keep pressed until menu appears.

Now check Wake up, Keep awake and auto start Stats

My eyes popped out of my head!

Any straightforward step by steps out there to switching to Oxygen OS? One including all the info needed, as a lot seem to make a lot of presumptions.

Also, what's the latest version to install or do you just do 1.0 and let it OTA from there?

    Thanks.

Yeah, all you need is stickied on the OnePlus forum

    Use latest from here

I'm not seeing any stickys on their forums at all. When I go to them I just see recent posts but nothing stickied at the top, even if I go into the oneplus one or oxygen os sub forums.

Also, I see a lost there about Oxygen 2.1.1. If I find a guide do I flash that or flash 1.0?

Posted the links above mate, you need the oxygen forum on OnePlus

I found this too, a lot of guides assume you already know all the details, I got lost trying to root - managed it eventually with a lot of trial and error. Definitely a need for proper step by step instructions

It's not that hard, for a first time flash you will always have to use fastboot and adb to unlock and then flash a custom recovery first, after that it's pretty straightforward and the same method you use to flash any custom Rom on any Android phone

To be honest, they've even provided two different files for 1.0.3, a zip and a zip.md5, with no explanation of which to use or if you use both. I need to look into this a whole lot more and find a better explained method. I've rooted and flashed on nearly every phone I've owned with clear instruction, but this is very convoluted on this device to install what is basically their stock software.

The .zip is the file, the md5 is the checksum you use to verify the file is intact and not a corrupt or alerted download (malware)

I'm probably getting ahead of myself here anyway (may very well be covered earlier in this thread) but I'm working off the assumption that the CM version of this will never see Marshmallow due to the fall out between them and OnePlus? If I'm wrong on that then I don't need to be doing any of this at all.

True, Oxygen will get the best support, it's pretty much stock Android you get on a Nexus.

Another reason IMO to avoid Cyanogen is that they're now on Microsoft's payroll and will be moving toward distancing themselves from Google apps and integrating Bing etc, not sure how you feel about that. Their CEO went on an anti Google rant then jumped into bed with a bigger shower of cnuts

You nearly always need a pc as the bootloader is always locked. Samsungs use a software called Odin, Nexus use a toolkit software. I feel it's better to get the unlocking of the bootloader out of the way as it always wipes. I had a Samsung before that I did minutes after unboxing. The OnePlus I left for a few weeks just because it ran Cyanogen but I ended up wiping.
