Slightly better than Amber but thats not saying much!

I think Clean Break will really prove itself in the last 2 episodes. Going by the first series of Love/Hate, the first 2 episodes were exactly of the type the first 2 episodes of Clean Break were (building up suspense) and then the 3rd and 4th episodes upped the pace and were action packed. The ingredients are there in Clean Break to do the same I am glad to report.

I liked Amber. The inconclusive climax was all too realistic actually.

Storyline isn't actually a bad premise but the acting is terrible and some of the dialogue is awful. Amber was a potentially good story but had the same issues

Just wondering what does come after Clean Break? There is an 8-week slot up until December after the finale of Clean Break!! Could there be a secret Love/Hate afterall???!!!!

More chance of Shergar running in next years Grand National ;)

The bank manager looks like a child who put on his father's clothes.

Where's the trailer for next week? Screw what I said earlier, that was too much of a cliffhanger for me :p

Great episode tonight, building up nicely. Loving the brooding cinematography and cast. I seem to relate to a lot of hidden messages in this, unlike what Dublin gangsters get up to in that other show.

Thought it was dragging a bit last night but the final few minutes made up for it!

I like Danny, he seems to be basically a good guy who ends up in bad situations.

That final scene was EXTREMELY hard viewing.

Will watch now. Looking forward to this and next weeks.

Good episode. All involved seem to be very closely related in their personal and business lives. The Snowy character is very deranged and will come to a sticky end. We saw little of the guy from Amber with the long hair who hung the guy last week. Danny and Frank will probably get out of this alive and there will be a twist with the bank manager and his real agenda.

Yeah was quite hard. I would of thought rte would have some sense and not show that scene with what happened in carrickmines at the weekend.

It's a show in which the acting is below par but the story is good

Final episode on now..anyone watching? Didn't watch after first ep cause I didn't think it was much good. But it seems compelling viewing so far

Was hoping the young one was gonna clobber him and knock him out right at the end or something. Bit of an unsatisfied ending.

Not often you say, I hope they don't make another series.

Had the makings of a decent starting storyline, but had to rush to tie up any loose ends in last 5 minutes.

    Can't wait for Season 2!

Enjoyed the show, just really really wanted Rane to get his comeuppance after we found out that he'd been orchestrating a lot of what had happened.

In that sense I guess it was a little too real-life for me. There's no reason fictional corrupt bankers have to get away with everything just because that's how it tends to happen for real :D

Not a fantastic ending but it is set up nicely for a second series and based on the anti-climatic ending I assume they already knew it would be renewed.

There was tremendous potential here, but it was all let down by curious casting decisions and characterization.
Bank manager was just all wrong, the ham fisted attempt to make him appear normal or ordinary was wrong and didn't work. The obsessive use of the anorak is a tired old cliche. It was as if there was a big floating arrow over him every time he was on screen saying 'this guy is sinister and probably guilty'

Frank's daughter just couldn't act and let down the dramatic tensions.

I enjoyed parts of it but now that the core character of any new series has been identified not sure I am interested in him enough to continue watching.

RIP Noel Blake. The one interesting character (and decent actor) in the series and they bludgeon him to death.

Thought the series had some potential, but the sub-standard acting allied with a pretty awful final episode left me feeling like it was a waste of time overall.

Started off quite good but got worse as it went along. Felt the ending was rushed. Some of the casting was pretty poor. Don't think i'd watch a second one. The bloke who got done in at the end was very good in it.

I think it also tried to put to many different sub plots into it as well. The blokes daughter was very poor. Anyway had potential but i overall it was pretty poor.

There was the bones of a decent series here but for whatever reason there was no tension or drama to anything that happened.

Still lost at the ending ???

So rane planned the tiger kidnapping ??

Kind of wish snowy got a beating by the burned kids family and why does rane hate him

Personally if I saw a kid getting burnt it would be in my mind the whole time but Darren Dempsey seemed unfazed by it

Bar the guy with the long hair, the boxing coach and Darren the acting was terrible

    Love/hate crossover for season 2 ??.

So rane planned the tiger kidnapping

I only saw bits and pieces of a couple of episodes, but I thought that this was known from early on? Because if it wasn't supposed to be, then that's really pathetic, because it's like they made a big effort to flag it, and it's hilarious if that wasn't their intention.

Again, it's laughable if he is supposed to be some fearsome sociopath, with the big wimpy head on him. He was a terrible actor, some of his facial expressions when he was trying to convey emotion were worse than Nicolas Cage in the Wicker Man. That little backstory about him torturing the frog was cringeworthy. He was even worse than the teenage girl. Her acting when she first found her boyfriend's hideout was some of the worst I've seen.

They shouldn't have killed off that criminal guy, he's like an Irish version of David Bradley.
