It was plugged into the wall but is now in a surge protected extension.

Every time theres a power cut(its now surge protected) I cant use it for 8-12hrs. Pain in me hole. Suspected the PSU, replaced it, still happens. Gotta be the mobo. Its just really weird.


PS: anyone noticed an issue with boards last post links not linking to the actual last post in the past few days? Its as if their DB isn't sync'd.

It's been acting very strangely the last few days. It's been doing the above along with several other buggy things the last few days for me. Seems to be improving slowly though so I assume they're aware of it.

i5 and i3 comparing a 950 vs an R9 290, few amonalies of the i3 getting better mins than the i5, but thats likely just how I was moving.

I use Gunnars alright. Thought they were gimmicky bull**** but a friend recommended them and for about two years now using them.

I've started to leave them off recently but I guess it can kinda be the point, you dont need to use them all the time. I found since using them I don't get as tired when gaming for long stretches and my eyes don't water as much as they used too.

Never suffered with headaches or anything like that, but would get kinda tired/watery eyes after long sessions. Take some time to get used to but after a few days everything looks really weird when you dont use them

Really good support service too. Mine arrived damaged by the courier (box was bashed up badly) and Gunnar replaced them and send new pair out by express. Told me to keep the broken pair. So I've still got the broken pair, but its a spare set of lenses and I guess if I was arsed fixing them a spare pair. Without it even being their felt, they sent me some extra bits and bobs just for the "dissapointment" Was very impressed

I want to be able to get right into Fallout 4, just get immersed into it for a while. I use the PC in my sitting room, hooked up to a TV, 32inch LG job, that's about 4 or 5 years old.

I'd be going from a Sapphire HD 6800 1GB, but I don't know which would be my best bet.

I know, I know, PC master race, and all that jazz, but given my options, what would you do?

You could pick a lower spec card, like a 750Ti for about €120 will should comfortably handle FO4. It's not going to take a 970 to run it.

No point picking up a 970 unless you're planning on doing a good hack of gaming
