EI-DVH is enroute to lanzarote. (Delay of 2hrs) EI-DVJ was the one that positioned.
The ORK-LHR (Delay of 1hr 20mins) took off a few mins ago with EI-EDS.

EI-DVJ will operate ORK-AMS (Scheduled for take off 20mins ago) in the next while.

I'm the person who derailed the thread and for that, I apologise.

I happened to be looking at Flightradar when I noticed that my parents' flight had a "No Status" notification, which led me to chatting here.

I'll just update those who are interested and say that the passengers have been told they'll be boarding a different plane at 5pm, with an ETD of 5:30pm.

Apologies for derailing the thread once again.
In my opinion you have absolutely nothing to apologise for whatsoever.

I hope that the behaviour of some of the posters towards you, has not driven you away from the forum if you have any future aviation enquiries.

I hope that the behaviour of some of the posters towards you, has not driven you completely away from the forum if you have any future aviation enquiries.

To be perfectly honest, I think the hostility at the suggestion that this thread had veered even a little off topic was extreme and far more severe.

And of course feel free to input to the fourm:) there's no 1 poster at fault here, we should all make a collective effort here.

Lets compare to BA's last week,
The points being made are not arrogance they are merely pointing out this happens to ALL airlines

You want to compare with BA?

We are talking tech here. Of the 10 BA incidents you list only 4 were tech, the other 6 were weather related.

That's just 4 tech incidents from how many aircraft? 250?

EI 5 tech incidents (that we know of) out of how many aircraft? 40 something?
they have worked very hard over the summer and it's getting towards winter scheduled maintenance time so issues will and do crop up
Every airline has been working hard over the Summer.

I'd imagine no more or less than any other airline. The above delay highlighted by a boards user and the other 3 non events reported by this new breed of armchaired twitter following sensationalising click baiting online journalists that have forgotten what its like to get away from their keyboards, out on their feet and dig up real stories.

Online media and 24 hrs "news" coverage these days follow or try to make the news or even be the news stories themselves. And they all have Flight Radar 24 now!

    Nothing against you kub :)

    Rant over!!

No offence taken, just saying how it seems, the fleet seems tired.

Just got the little one to sleep and that gave the house a bit of a rattle. She's awake again. Tho it could have been me bounding out of bed and whipping the curtains open. A very odd sight, thought it was something in trouble.

Not trying to derail the thread further, but I flew to Cardiff with flybe 2 weeks and received 250 euro compensation for a 3 hour delay from Dublin.

If the delay was not out of the hands of an airline, or they can't prove that it is, you're entitled to compensation.

She was empty, positioning to BAL to take some irish soldiers out in the early hours of this morning. Apparently due back tomorrow afternoon with returning troops.

EI-DEI just airborne from SNN on way to Dublin, stripped of it's Virgin little red colours. Now in the same IRFU rugby livery is EI-DEO.

EI have a 3 year deal with the IRFU, it's not just for the RWC.

That's a shame, a bit of variety never hurts.

Was out at the airport earlier and seen what looked like a seriously top class private jet was taking off. Was driving so could get a look but it took off at 6.13 pm .
Wasn't able to open FR on the phone either.
Anybody know what the reg was or whose plane it is?
