    Based on this thread

    http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2057468671

This is just out of interest. Play money rather than actual cash. Will do a theoretical tenner on the leader's correct score selections each week and see how good we are against the bookies. Best prices according to Oddschecker used.

In the interest of having a complete season's fixtures included I've used the selections of last season's winner for the first round.

Wow nearly forgot about this, Cheers for running it again.

    Man Utd 2-1 Tottenham
    Bournemouth 1-1 Aston Villa
    Everton 2- 0 Watford
    Leicester 0-0 Sunderland
    Norwich 1-2 Crystal Palace
    Chelsea 3-0 Swansea

    Sunday

    Arsenal 3-1 West Ham
    Newcastle 0- 1 Southampton
    Stoke 1-1 Liverpool

    Monday

    West Brom 0-2 Man City

Of course I'll win it again :)

There were zero correct scores there so running total of -€100 and obviously an ROI of -100%

And this week's selections are below with odds

I'm going to be keeping an eye on this thread over the season. I'm not a gambler, but one thing I'm very thankful to the predictions thread for doing is blowing away those hazy delusions I had of maybe putting down bets now and again. This will put it in black and white just how much money I'd lose over a season.

Zero correct scores again in week two. Expecting this to be a losing log by the way - just curious as to how bad it will be. That said, I thought there'd have been even one correct score out of twenty.

    Amount staked: €200
    Profit/Loss: -€200
    ROI: -100%

by the leader, you mean the overall leader in the table & not the one who got most from the previous week yeah?
if you use the overall leader, i don't think it'll be that bad, as those at the top will need to get a lot of scores right.

2 posters that added up their scores in the thread there, got 11 & 12 points with 3 correct scores each.
one had swansea, leicester & arsenal right with would've gave him 295 back , profit of 195 for the week
the other had man u, norwich & swansea. 480 back, profit 380

myself, missed last week & 1 from 7 (swansea) this week. profit 35
i'll post mine in here too if you don't mind?

No, **** off and get your own thread.

Kidding. Fire away. Was gonna do the same for myself but thought this would be more interesting/less of a loser and didn't want to embarrass myself - have only one correct score so far from two full rounds.

And yes, I'll be using the overall leader rather than winner of previous round

Another new leader so let's hope his picks cam make some money. Had to do a few hours in work this morning so missed KO of United game. Have taken an IR price for that with score at 0-0 after 40 minutes

Same leader for third week in a row but with less than an hour until the early kickoff he hasn't posted his selections. There are two lads tied for second and again one hasn't posted yet. I'll use the one who has for now and if either of the other two post before 12.45 I'll edit the post.

it keeps it as planned yeah.

do you still think it'll turn out to be a loser? i posted in the predictions thread that i think you'd need an average of 2 right/week to make money. there appears to be money in it for someone like Cass

correct scores are considered a 'bad bet' though aren't they?

They would be, yeah. Too risky for the rewards offered IMO. Although I'm hoping to see if this log can prove me wrong.
