    Thanks MarkAnthony, Just from reading this forum, I would agree that the adversarial system to be the best system for criminal law and arriving at the truth. At least we are not living in a dictatorship where you are guilty until proven innocent.

    I'm just amazed at the red tape! There's no lean six sigma in the court system. Lots of wasted hours, gardaí etc.. etc..

    What do you mean in relation to red tape and wasted hours? The DC can process upwards of 10 cases an hour in some situations.

    If you go back to page 2 or 3, I witnessed 8 Gardaí with 1 person all standing in court presenting charges for 1 person, Madness Tbh. As another poster said, the Sup or Inspector takes the cases down the country to save on manpower. Not in the CCJ in parkgate street from what I have observed. There were more Gardaí than defendants in the court that day.
