Weed, as in ALL weed? Have you tried every strain, or at least many and high quality ones (not some of the dirt weed we get in Ireland), in order to be able to make the claim it's overrated?

Yes most definitely. Do weed and wake up feeling fine and don't listen to any ejjits telling you it's pointless when they would drown themselves in alcohol and f**k themselves up for 2 days afterwards in the name of a good time. Weed= good conversation, a good laugh and music, eating (not too much now!), lots of laughter. No idea why anyone knocks weed. There are reasons people do it and harp on about it. So yah, get some and roll up!

Don't know really, Suppose for the majority of people who experimented with drugs/alcohol it can be a great feeling and for most it don't do any long term harm if used/taken now and then, but for a certain few it's a long road down to a hell of a life and a lot don't come back from it. The problem is no one can know if your the one who is going down that road or not ?

Being the curious sort I've taken pretty much everything, some things quite a lot. I'm now drug free bar the occasional pint for the simple reason that age wise I've reached a tipping point where the pleasure derived from taking drugs in the first has been overpowered by the after effects - in short it's no longer worth it for me. But I can advise from my meticulous research over the past 2 decades that most people, bar the usual suspects with dodgy hearts or questionable mental health should at least once in their lives try the following in order of awesomeness

1 MDMA
2 Psilocybin (Magic Mushrooms)
3 LSD
4 Cocaine
5 Mephedrone
6 Ketamine

Life is short - live a little before you die:D
There is of course a (very small) risk it might go wrong and kill you but sure there's life for you. Those very same risks exist with everything from peanuts, playing sports, taking a plane journey, swimming etc. Everything you do is risky to a greater or lesser extent, simple as.

There is another thread on here which says that druggies are people too and should not be blamed for needles being left around the place - on a bus for example - its all the guvinmint's fault. Personal responsibility includes not trying this stuff in the first place.

Colour me a liar then. I found it too harsh - for the want of a better word - for my tastes. Made me too edgy. Might have been dosages mind you. At the time I would have been of the type more is better.

No.. if you've never had any desire to mess with them before (I'd be the same) then I wouldn't bother now.

I really don't get the appeal of ingesting something that you really have no idea what it contains and might do to you just to "have a buzz" or escape whatever misery you're running from.

Tring to change your circumstances would seem like a far better long term option. If you can't have a good night without it (and I'm including alcohol in this) then maybe that's worth looking into too.

Each to their own OP but I certainly wouldn't be encouraging anyone to try drugs.

We all know the dangers associated with drug use, physically, emotionally, financially and legally and for me it's a fools game to even consider taking them.

Is the OP asking if people should try illegal drugs in their home or illegal one. I am drinking a coffee, and eat a bar of chocolate right now, mmm caffeine and theobromine. Also enjoy a beer the odd weekend. Or maybe he is referring to drain cleaner, and volatiles etc. Can't see thread going anywhere, lol. Don't feel I am missing anything, by not looking into, the chems, i use to clean my loo etc, or spices in my cupboard.

Look there's a risk attached to taking most psychoactives. There's a risk attached to playing rugby or swimming also. Life's risky tbh. 100% fatality rate.

The vast majority of people have positive experiences from taking drugs, rather than negative.

Some of them can be extraordinarily positive.

But all of them aren't for everyone.

More than likely, if you do try one of them, you'll not regret it in the slightest and it'll be a very positive influence on you. But there is a risk you'll be one of the few that can't hack it.

So, for most people, most of the time, yes, they should try them at least once. If you're a bit ropey though, not firing on all cylinders or whatever, then most things you shouldn't be trying until you get your sh1t sorted out. Priorities and sh1t.

You do know "drugs" referes to many different susbtances, here, right?

Regarding the second statement, perhaps, if I named a drug - let's say acid as it's one I have experience of - you couldtell me the physical, emotional, financial and legal dangers?

When I was a kid I jumped over a wall and landed on a broken bottle, cut the arch of my foot to ribbons. Does personal responsibility mean no one should therefore try a beer in the first place?
If you think about it sensibly for a second, I'm sure you'll agree that only a tiny, tiny percentage of people who have ever tried an illegal drug will go on to leave dirty needles on buses. Those people were most likely dicks beforehand.
