Matt Cooper seems to have been relegated to the 3e coverage of the France match. Or they're just giving both main presenters a fair shot.

Assume they'll show a bit of the Scotland match again here to fill the time.

Surely he won't have enough time to finish his radio show at seven and get to be on air by eight?

/Silently hopes for a massive traffic jam to hold him up

He's not doing his radio show today.

could be a midweek thing, less adverting demand during the midweek daytime games

Why do TV3 have to tell us "LIVE" on screen?... doesn't make a bit of sense really, they even let it on when replaying earlier highlights.. totally defeating the purpose of whatever they are trying to do...

People find the maddest things to give out about..

TV3 are a PSB broadcaster... its not asking much for them to do things with a bit of class... they just look so amateurish.

    I don't think they are a PSB?

Yes they has a variation of a PSB licence which gives them priority on all satellite and cable platforms. They also draw down money from the BAI sound and vision fund paid by licence fee payers.

I don't get you, why would they get priority say on Sky's platform, don't they have to pay Sky to be carried?

Nope, Sky pay for the uplink of RTÉ, TV3 and TG4 on the 28.2E satellite... old arrangement going back to April 2002. As for the HD channels, 3E and UTVI we don't know.

Not have any controls on the player is a pain, sound, pause, etc

You'd suspect so and that the intensity and duration of ad breaks will reach a peak again on Sunday... but sure we'll see.

Whats going on at the minute? ... Have they decided to keep the game on TV3 opposed to 3E??

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,895 ✭✭✭cml387

Looks like it, even though the match is still showing as scheduled on the epg on 3E

Jaysus... as I said - very amateurish ... people could have had this game recorded to watch later but will be left with TV3 news on 3e.

They are making things up as they are going along..

Having watched RTE's show on the ploughing championships last night, TV3 are playing a blinder in comparison.

Saying that I am watching the game on itv4
    I refuse to watch 3e

Good that game is on tv3 and not 3e (HD helps), but odd that it's advertised the other way around.

Dave Mac as commentator is good thing too..

The size of the dog though is huge. And the HD isn't connected to the tv3, it's odd.. I assume world rugby make them keep the rwc one?

    It's not on 3e, it's on regular tv3

its not on 3e. its supposed to be but they decided to broadcast it on tv3. But sure why bother to tell the viewing public what do we matter?

Oh, for ****'s sake, TV3. Missed the first 15 minutes as a result of this little reversal of channels.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,906 ✭✭✭SarahBM

according to my tv guide the TV3 news room is being broadcast from the Olympic stadium with 30 massive men running round LOL

Absolutely ridiculous that they didn't update the EPG schedule on the channels before the game .. there will be loads of people who will have recorded the game on 3e...

Who knows with TV3... they don't appear to stick to their own EPG schedule :)
