What's it's main issues. Poisonous? Killing natural species?

Non-native invasive species that damage native habitats/species. Rhododendron and Giant Rhuburb are the main problems near my place in North Mayo.

Grubbed out all the old Rhododendron around the house here. Honey made from their flowers is poisonous to the very bees that make it. When dried, rhododendron burns very well.

Eastenders has the same effect on me. Enough misery in the world without revelling in it.
That Vincent Brown bugs the hell out of me. Himself and Joe Duffy should be locked into a room together and let moan away at each other.

The head honchos are very very well paid too, at least they got some credibility back when Gaybo was put out to pasture

Common sense isn't that common in a lot of cases unfortunately

What would people's opinions be on the best make of eletric fencer. Gallaghers or pel. Gallagher is coming in about €25 for the same product.

I have a Pel 836R and it's the bees knees. Some rattle off her so the cattle won't even cross a dropped wire if I want to move them.

Tbh, I don't think the make matters too much, just get one that can deliver lots of power. Spend as much as you can on it because you will have it for a good many years.

I know that Gallagher have a place in Cork that fixes them, if needs be.

    Stored or output joules?

If both the same power, I would go with the cheaper one. 25 euro is as good in your pocket as theirs.

Both are easily repaired in Ireland if they breakdown and the local store should supply a replacement fencer while yours is repaired.

Firstly I'm on my own which helps and secondly I arrived early and went to all the stands I needed to go to at 7am before the crowd arrived ;). Just rambling now after checking out all the deals

The forcefield is coming cheaper again. €200 for stored 4 joules with output of 3.3

    That's not a bad price.

The only problem I would have with lower output fencers is the need to constantly keep on top of making sure there is no vegetation growing that will drain the output from the fence. Grazon 90 is your friend;)

Cheers for the info Buford as I just don't want to get the wrong fencer and regret it in a few months time
Yeah I think one man was telling me if ya got 5 joules to go through the fence it would kill any vegatation trying to grow near it but that could just be a myth :D

Yeah, the higher the output, the more chance of good current reaching where the cattle are. Small quantities of vegetation on the wire will be burned off but the greater the load on the wire from vegetation, the less will be burned off and it will short out the fence.
