I wouldn't advice just going to the other, I've done that before and been forced back into another.

Just go to the lecturer/tutor after class and ask, they normally will be fine with that :D

They really need to start on that extension soon.

They do, it's actually ridiculous. I thought any nice weather would prevent the hoards but nope...Also there were seats upon seats free in front of me today and this guy immediately sits next to me! I hate that!!

I think dissertations are due at the end of September, so that could be it I guess?

ulwireless seems to be getting progressively worse. It's almost as if giving WiFi to ~1500 extra people living on campus this year has had a detrimental affect.

Accidentally turned sync off on my phone and was wondering why I hadn't been receiving any emails since yesterday afternoon. Realised my mistake today, checked my email and had 15 emails that were all important and needed replies. So typical that the one day that I don't check them is the day they're all important, and the day that I do check them every hour or so I have a million irrelevant emails from UL Sport, Gabriella Hanrahan etc.

Christ. This breakdown of order in society is becoming too much to bear.

Moved down from dublin to do my dream course. Course is ok, but finding it so difficult to make friends in UL. Is everyone here either a traveller, a farmer or a wannabe L4 head? I thought when I left dublin I'd leave all these eejits behind with the rugby accents.

Dunno what could possibly be the problem, especially with such a winning attitude.

Have you considered, erm, talking to people?

Yeah man, I do try talk to people. Just not many people with similar interests as me around the place. I am talking here specifically of people outside my course. Trying to meet people from outside my course you know, in different parts of the college.

And by people ... you mean girls. :p

    But, what are your interests?

You're hardly alone in that affliction.

Apart from yoga pants filled out by ladies, what else interests you.

Not that that isn't a fine start.

I'm not sure how you're having difficulty here, these people are everywhere.

Given the amount of posts in different threads I'm gonna guess that he's either a troll or someone is on his account messing

Oh I've suspected since the BULBs thread but he's entertaining, conversational and so far, not a prick so I'm rolling with it!

I'm neither, I just opened an account today, never heard of boards.ie before. It looks like yikyak but a million times bigger.

Can anyone recommend anywhere with plugs and tables (not the library) that I can get some work done during the day? Prefer to be able to make a bit of noise so the library is out, and Red Raisins / Eden are very hit and miss with plugs. Have a lot of 3/4 hour breaks and want to start making use of them!

If you go to Eden and keep walking around that corridor, you'll get to the bridge between Main Building and Foundation Building (last door on right). There's a small room before that with plugs. For study week when the library was full, I used to go there, sit against one of the squares and drag another square beside me as a table.

Anyone know what hours the main building is open on a Sunday? Or every other day of the week?
