Oh don't tell me you've named it :pac: actually that's one thing I've never got into. I'd always just call the car by its model name.

Your car has a girls name already though....

Sometimes it comes naturally, sometimes it doesn't. Every Merc I've had has had a name, yet none of the BMW's ever had names

Some say its a form of acceptance, that you see it as more than just a to b, that otherwise you'd want to be soulless not to.... All subjective of course

It would be beyond fcuked up if you had to declare a new radio.
    Wheels I don't know.

Finally got my headlight bulbs changed out... only nearly a year after I bought the replacements! Haha. I couldn't get the clips off and gave up. The new ones are Philips X-treme Vision 130%. Damn... the difference. Much better.

Dropping the focus off tomorrow to get some well deserved tlc. Full interior valet, going to get them to shampoo everything, along with a machine polish, wax, sealant and all the associated dressings on the outside. Paintwork is a bit dodgy in one or two places, so I must give them a heads up before they take a rotary to it.

Several won't even quote you online if you have a non standard radio. Daaaangerous yokes those €150 double din alpines. And highly desirable! I hear they are worth their weight in microwaves or standard def sub 36inch flat screens, serious €€€€€ like!

It's usually a clause that if it's over a value of €500 of "audio equipment" you need to declare it. A €129 Halftods special doesn't qualify for this, obviously, but if you go and buy a shiny Pioneer for a grand then they'll want to know about it!

Mercs have to have a name.
As for my cars, I had a 1983 Kadett in monkeysh*t brown, his name was Rusty James.
A W123 Merc was Big Bertha.
The CMax, I'm leaning towards the Blue Baroness, but it's a bit too grandiose a name for it I think, but don't blame me, she insists on it.

Tell me which part of this excludes radios under €500

My dad had a double-din headunit in his car worth around €500. The car was written off and the insurance company didn't bat an eye lid. In fact I would probably NOT declare audio equipment so you can take it out of the car if the car is written off.

If you declare it they will adjust the payout accordingly (and trust me, they won't give you full value for the audio equipment) and won't pay out if you decide to take it out.

5w30, I think you are falling into the "I was once insured by a company who told me I was only insured to drive other peoples cars if I painted myself purple, therefore this condition applies to all insurance" trap.

These are basic terms and conditions that you agree with before taking out an insurance policy with company X.

Ooooh a caaar phone, wooow! that must be reeeaaallyyy special!

I told you it was all a ploy, the insurance industry is in cahoots with Dacia. You must simultaneously have the newest car and least gadgets.*

$100 radio is not non standard audio equipment.

If anyone thinks this would void the insurance, then insurance companies own the world.

What is non standard audio equipment? Ultra low frequency brownpants death rays? Noise cannon in case of somali pirates?

You'll be saying cheap coil overs or an eBay mach3 spoiler are not mods next if we are judging items by price, or that some other cars come with similar equipment as standard.

When is a vtec not a vtec?
