She graduated from Terry Funks school in August 1999 so my guess is they get her through him. I think her official WWE tryout was toward the back end of the year.

I binge watched legends house over the last 2 days, have to say I really enjoyed it and wish they would make some more of them

I was really dissapointed with legends house.

I enjoyed it at first but after a while I just gave up watching. It wasn't really keeping me entertained.

Ashley Roberts was the only good thing on the show.

Is that the young wan that used come in and tell them what they were doing in each episode?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,953 ✭✭✭Monokne

Just my opinion but I thought it was one of the worst hours of television I've ever seen. It was neither dramatic nor funny in any way, shape, or form. It was just there. It had no purpose and no entertainment value.

The Iron Sheik would have been the man for it.

Who was she, did she ever do anything else with WWE? I had no clue who she was when watching.

She used to be in a band the pussycat dolls. She does a lot of reality TV/quiz shows/panel shows these days.

Haven't logged in for ages. How much if any of Raw and Nitro are up from 98/99? I was thinking of watching the head to head all the way through but gather they only have a limited number of Nitros and only some years of Raw?

The whole year of raws from 98 and 99 are up apart from I think December 99.

They are starting to add nitro 98 and are up to the Feb 27th episode.

Im doing the same watching them head to head but I started from the night after Wrestlemania 12 in 96.

EDIT - Feb 16th episode of Nitro

So every episode of Nitro from when it started in September 95 to Febuary 16th 1998 and every episode of Raw from January 93 to December 99 are up on the network.

I'm pondering whether to start watching attitude era raws. The main issue is where to start. Any good episodes to begin with?

Start with the rise of Stone Cold. I started watching WWE again in June 1998 when I got Sky Digital and I don't have a clue who Stone Cold was and what Austin 3:16 meant.

Start with the King of the Ring tournament 1996. Qualifying rounds began on Raw on the 27th of May, the same night Scott Hall shows up on Nitro.

Racking my brain here trying to think of a standout Raw episode from 1997-1998 to recommend to start from. When I watch them I tend to stick with the Steve Austin stuff and skip past most of the rest of it. The USA vs Canada period had super hot crowds and some good matches - Austin/HBO vs Owen/Davey - but there were a lot of run-ins. The DX stuff has aged badly imo.

I would start from Wrestlemania 13 in 1997 and work from there.

I just love all the Hart foundation stuff with Austin, the real life heat between Bret and HBK and also look out for the brilliant series of sit down interviews JR does with Mick Foley. The Canadian Stampede PPV as well.

Ive said a few times on here that my favourite years of WWE are 97 and 2000.

I watched that Heyman doc on the network. Fascinating, like I would know his closeness to Punk but never Beth Phoenix and Big Show. Show was especially fascinating as they seemed quite close, whereas back then i thought Show was forced on him.

Stephanie though was the biggest cause of drama as to this day it sounds like she's still unwilling to give him his just due (referring to him as CAPABLE of genius rather than being actual genius as all the ecw guys described him, firmly putting him down a notch behind daddy).

Do you watch the shows in their entirely or skip through the filler? I wondering if the nostalgia factor will start to wear off if I watch the lot. I might start watching everything and see how it goes.

The raws and nitros im watching from 96 so far are only 1 hour shows (45 mins without ads) so im watching the full shows, awful Godwins matches and all :D

Ah, of course. When did Raw and Nitro move to two hours?

I think Nitro is from when Scott Hall shows up in May 96 and Raw is March/April 97. Could be wrong with both of those though :P

The May 17th 1997 episode with Bret V Sid in a cage for the belt followed by Bret cutting his "THIS IS BULLSH*T" promo and pushing Vince to the ground is a good starting point. You get the double turn at Mania, the incredible angle where Austin attacks Bret in the ambulance, the US V Canada summer etc.

Ah, of course. When did Raw and Nitro move to two hours?

The first two hour Nitro (90mins sans ads obviously) was Nitro #37, May 27. The week before clocked in at 1hr 1min.

The first two hour Monday Night Raw was #196 Feb 3, taped in Toronto a week or so earlier (clocks in at 92mins sans ads).

Raw #198 was the ECW invasion
Raw # 199 was a taped show from Germany with the Euro title final
Raw# 200, March 10 was when it changed to Raw is War with the new entrance ramp.

Early 1997 Raw was really weird as they transitioned to two-hour. Some of the taped shows like Toronto Sitcoms were quite poor. The Raw before Mania 13 had the controversial angle with Bret Hart saying bad words, the night after Mania had his 17 min heel promo and the night after In Your House 14 was the one where Austin attacks Bret in an ambulance.

So she would have been pretty famous a decade ago. It's a wonder she's not a regular.

Table for 3 with New Day is an enjoyable watch. A lot of it is stuff they talked about on TIJ but their chemistry is great.
