DDP's theme is a rip-off of Nirvana's Smells Like Teen Sprit, Dave Grohl wasn't happy about it back then. I guess WWE wants to avoid any copyright issues becuase of that.

Raven's as well sounds a bit too much like come as you are!

I think Jericho might have had a Pearl Jam "evenflow" rip off as well :D

Someone in WCW was loving that early 90's grunge scene.

Watching summerslam 2010 in the run up to this years event. Interesting stuff so far.

Main event is ridiculous Super Cena booking.

Main event is ridiculous Super Cena booking.

Well summerslam 2013 is just finishing on the live channel and that was super cena booking bar the end and they telegraphed the screw job. And watching it I remembered another thing I dislike about cena. They whole talking to the camera thing. Jesus shut up john I don't care.

Watching rumble 2014 and I'd forgotten how much I love the rumble match itself. It's a great concept. Love it.

It's the best wrestling concept ever made! Always a good time - very difficult to have a bad one. They somehow managed that feat in 2015 :(

Just watching the 2008 Rumble match now, only 8 guys in and already have/had Undertaker, HBK, Great Khali and Batista enter! Love it

Btw poor rey mysterio getting **** on by the crowd in 2014. The crowd started to turn when bluetista entered.

I always thought that was a bit ridiculous. Was it not clear before that day Bryan wasn't entered?

No, everyone was expecting him to make a surprise return

Stereo, you're a member on here since 2007 according to your profile do you honestly not remember the build up to the rumble from a year and a half ago and all the anticipation online of a DB rumble return?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,224 ✭✭✭The Ayatolla

    He wasn't returning anywhere.

He was on the card earlier in the night and lost to Wyatt and fans incorrectly assumed he'd be in the Rumble.

Mysterio entered at #30 to a chorus of boos when fans realised DB wasn't going to be in. Added to that, Batista won to make things worse. Fan reaction led to WWE inserting DB into the Mania main event while Wyatt went on to lose against Cena. Funny how things turned out.

Apologies you are correct the big return was this years Rumble. Still the my point was how could you be a wrestling fan and not remember the anticipation online of a DB rumble win leading into a WM XXX title match

It was a rhetorical question, Lee. I'm saying I never expected him to be in the Rumble.

Anyone finding the network is on its arse with buffering and the picture quality being utter ****e today ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,166 ✭✭✭Stereomaniac

Yeah. I found earlier when I had it paused for a few minutes and I went back to play, it wouldn't.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 41,197 ✭✭✭✭Itssoeasy

The live channel is fine. i thought it was my broadband which is fairly fast but checked netflix and nfl gamepass and all are working perfectly.

It seems looking at twitter that its not just me or you.

Bryan Alverez was complaining about buffering on the Network the other day and he has something 35Mb broadband.

The Network must be over-subscribed, so they'll need to buy more bandwidth to keep up with the demands.

I always have the weird live buffering thing where it skips back 15-20 seconds. Every show. It does seem to vary across platforms but there are more issues with this versus other similar services ie. Netflix which they compare themselves to ad nauseam. Tbh, their rollout was patchy from the start and they bit off more than they can chew.

Unless there's a mainstream scandal or the investor callers make a big deal nothing will be done.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,014 ✭✭✭✭jaykhunter

WWE have just cut corners on the bandwidth, and allocating the reduced bandwidth according to what most people watch (ie new content and then WWE historical content?. It's just a matter of WWE being cheap, providing a worse service because they can get away with it! If you're looking for wcw content (like I do) you're hooked!

...you can find it elsewhere tbh.

If I watch any of the new shows like swerved or table for 3 it works grand.

if I watch a random Raw or Nitro from 96 etc thats when mine buffers and stalls every few seconds. Its actually really annoying.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,556 ✭✭✭Blue_Dabadee

Yeah I see a lot of complaints of the issue on Ask WWE Network twitter page. I always think the buffering is because of my internet speed, but Netflix, Youtube, etc never buffer in HD for me in comparison.

Not legally or in any kind of decent quality. WWE have done an excellent job purging the likes of YouTube and Dailymotion, what's left looks like it was recorded on Real Player in 1999!

Up to June now with 97 Nitros.

I thought they had put the whole year of 99 raws up but they stopped in November.

I made it through about 15 minutes of a pay per view from 1988 today over about 2 hours.

It's getting so bad, I'm thinking of cancelling for a while. But I know I'd miss it not having the WWE archive available instantly!
