Ads the best part. Has improved though.

The ads were great, the rest of it was average enough.

Some good attention to detail, like the really old RTE Sports theme music.

I never saw such an awkward looking audience as the LLS were standing up to the Ireland song!!

Angeline Ball looked lovely in the middle of it all!

No sign of this yet on the RTE player, anyone know if it's going to be on it?

They had a tweet that due to rights issues for the actual football coverage, it won't be on the RTE player.

Quick reminder that the next episode of this is on tonight (at 9.55pm)
Barry Murphy, Risteard Cooper and Gary Cooke take a fresh look at the national team's past glories, including a look back at Liam Brady's debut against the USSR in 1974

It won't be repeated or available on the RTE Player, so you would need to record it or watch it live. live.

Are these characters fictitious or did they actually exist.

    TV license ad is funny.

Not in position to watch at the moment but.....Liam Brady's 1970's hair did exist - it sued for divorce and went on to have a semi-successful career as a Hollywood villain.

Enjoying this. The Liam Tuohy co-commentary during the highlights is very funny.

Don Cockburn - a blast from the past

That was very good. Only thing wrong with it was it was too short.

Great idea to do the ads of the time too.......oh, and the Riordans

Appreciate humour is an individual taste but I thought that was dire and I was actually at the game. Half day at school, really great game but what was funny about that?.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,133 ✭✭✭FloatingVoter

The players did have great thighs in them days, Bill. Like oaks, they were. Fit men. Hard men with flowing locks...and great thighs. Good on the balls, like.

That was great! (missed last week's)

How many loo rolls were sacrificed in the cause of that win? Something I hadn't even realised you don't see any more......
