Best of luck to you all on Sunday against the 'cats! I think you'll do the business! Hopefully we can do the same against Dublin on Saturday and Connacht can stand tall! Good luck!

Looking back and comparing this final to 2012 the Galway squad is better by far, more steal, working harder, consistent, able to keep going for 70 minutes, all forwards contributing.
The kk squad has weakened, unfortunately no all Ireland is guaranteed and kk don't do sympathy, looking forward to the match, if Galway can raise the bar another notch I'm confident Gal will win.

I am nervous all week and its not going to get any better until Sunday evening.
I think its well within the teams capability's to win this All Ireland but what I think makes no difference really .
I just hope they go out and give Galway some pride BY WINNING IT.

It's left to Galway to bring pride to the West, as it always has been really. Have a great day lads

Baffles me why they can only name a matchday squad of 26 when most intercounty squads nowdays are 30 players. Surely this has to be changed asap. Very tough on a lad to be training hard and be involved all year and then be told he is not in the squad for the final even though he is very much a part of the panel. That's bullsh1t really.

It was 30 and they changed it to 26 a few years ago. Think it was 24 before it was extended to 30. John o'mahony always said he found leaving guys out of match day panel the hardest part of management

Minors in yet another mini thriller
Their games have been brilliant all year

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,075 ✭✭✭✭wp_rathead

    Upsheflew!!
    Great win for the minors

Hopefully not the highlight of the day though

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,274 ✭✭✭RobbieRuns

It is the highlight of the day for all the Minors and their families ! Well done lads, big achievement for them all. It is from wins like minor championships that builds great teams, onwards and upwards for Galway Hurling, hope that they inspire the seniors. Galliamh Abu !

I know what you meant my friend ! Onwards and upwards......

Half time and I am shaking like a leaf !!!!!! KK will come out blazing in the second half, we need to fight fire with fire now, keep the goals out and score one of our own ......

Joe having a big game in fairness to him. Cathal Mannion has been quiet enough, hasn't had a shot yet.

Galway half-back line doing well and their midfield working very very hard.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 334 ✭✭Mahogany Gaspipe

We should half been six points up at half time. And then the majority of them didn't even turn up for the second half.
Glynn shown up to be out of his depth, laughable the crowing about him after the tipp game.

Kilkenny crowded the half back line as they always do, Galway had no answer
No attempt to create any space for the forwards

    No alternative puck out strategy
    Poor subs introduced

Well you got what you deserved with that attitude, not to mention your football ticket touting antics on boards earlier in the week.

Commiserations to Galway though, a very decent effort but Kilkenny are still a step ahead of the pack.

    A pure embarrassment.

To be winning by 3 and basically score 4 in the second half?.
They should honestly be ashamed and anyone not in it for Galway should head off.

Some of those KK scores in the second half were just dreadful.

I'm packing in my attendance after that, going consistently for 10years and I'm fed up of it after that.. Wouldn't mind a committed loss but that was a complete capitulation.
    I'll watch on TV anymore.

Ah here, they were playing against the greatest hurling dynasty of all time - not at their peak, but not too far off it either. Kilkenny have improved this year from the last couple. Cut the Galway lads some slack, not many even thought they'd make the final.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,074 ✭✭✭pmasterson95

Should have been more considering Coen should have been gone and a man down for that 2nd 35

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,279 ✭✭✭Lollipop95

    Absolutely sickened :'(
genuinely heartbroken for Galway :( I really thought they were going to do it. It's been 27 YEARS FGS :/ so sick of Kilkenny winning, there wasn't much of atmosphere either. It would mean So much more to Galway :(
