Pippa's video on Instagram this morning is quite obviously meant to be a covert plug for centra.

I love Rosemary on Snapchat 90% of the time but does anyone else just not bother when it's a 200 second Snap of her just talking about what she did that day? It gets a bit boring

I usually don't bother looking at a story if it's over 100 seconds long.

I kind of like her. I find her funny at times but she has kind of lost the run of herself lately. Also she has a bit of an American twang accent that can be grating. I was following faces by Grace but her snaps are just way too long. I also dislike how she does her make up too so she's just not for me.

I was following lots of snapchatters but have unfollowed three of the most prolific in the last few weeks.

Joanne Larby - The Make Up Fairy
Grace Mongey - Faces By Graces
    Mom Fitness Diaries

All of these have snaps are sometimes up to 800seconds! Ain't nobody got time foh that!!!
FacebyGraces seems to snap every few minutes of her life, and God love her, her life isn't that interesting!!!

Sharon Leavy can sometimes have long snaps but for the most part she's witty enough to carry them.

Rosemary just mentioned this post on snapchat. If you're reading this Rosemary I didn't mean to offend you, I did actually say I liked you! Please try not to take everything to heart that people say on here, especially me! I'm just an ejit with random brain farts

Oh for goodness sake. You didn't say anything remotely offensive there's no need to be explaining yourself!

I know. But you know when you feel like you've offended someone you feel like you need to offer some kind of explanation! Rosemary seems to be lurking around here goodo just to see if she gets any mentions. Hmm..

    Hi all!

Just on the above... lurking implies some kind of secrecy. I obviously want to know what's being said about me, as would you I'd imagine if a group of people were discussing you in an anonymous forum. I don't think that's weird or unusual!

Obviously I did find it a bit hurtful – reading that I've lost the run of myself, am boring and have an annoying accent is never going to be particularly pleasant (at least two of those things I can't change...), now is it! I'm a fairly sensitive person, which is why I should just NEVER read these forums, but, y'know, see above!

Anyway just thought I'd explain myself – chances are, everyone you're discussing reads these threads or searches themselves on Boards, and while I think these forums are such a great opp to talk about what you like / don't like about bloggers, Snapchat etc (and can be so useful for those same people!), it's a pity when a lot of them end up being nasty and hurtful. The world's hard enough without getting flak from the people who choose to read / follow you about your personality / accent / eyebrows...!

If you find her annoying unfollow her. Rosemary, snap chattering/blogging/vlogging is no place for someone with a thin skin these days. If you read this kind of thread you may be offended by stuff people say. At least you're being discussed tho which is helping to raise your profile which isn't necessarily a bad thing. I'd never heard of you before this thread and I'm not trying to be mean by saying that. It's the truth.

But that's just the point. I understand that giving out about someone's accent is a bit redundant, but surely you're allowed say you don't like an aspect of someone's Snapchats (ex. when the story is too long) as something I like/dislike without being labelled 'nasty'? Don't think that's what anyone was aiming for here.

I'm not going to keep commenting on this because there's no point really arguing about what is / isn't offensive, but I totally take your point, and I hate when people are labelled "haters" / "nasty" for just criticising someone in a very normal, natural way!

I just feel like threads about bloggers ALWAYS get personal. (At least on boards...!)

It's one thing to be like, "you know, I'm not that mad on 600-second snaps that go through the minutiae of someone's day" and "she snaps her whole day and sorry, but she's not that interesting" (paraphrasing...) There is a difference; one is constructive and one is not.

(And while I do think "get a thicker skin" is a total cop-out for excusing people being unnecessarily nasty, anonymously, I'm going to stop reading this thread now and try to get a little less sensitive!)

Hope you all have a lovely weekend and are doing something more exciting than watching the #latelate like me... I'm resisting the urge to live-snap it ;-)

I take your point, but I don't see how talking about a blogger/Snapchatter wouldn't get personal given that it's their personality which is on display and is essentially what you are following them for?

Personally, I didn't say anywhere that YOU weren't that interesting, I said 'it gets a bit boring' (not paraphrasing) so I did mean it in a general sense, that I'm not mad into that type of Snap where someone just talks about their day.

That's my two cents really, it's a shame to have what was really just a chat about who to follow and what we like or don't like about who we follow turn into this!

Girl I was never nasty about you, I've never seen your snaps but it's good advice to spare your feelings if you find criticism difficult to take. If people don't like your style of snapchatting then they're entitled to say it on a public forum where the topic is being discussed. They shouldn't need to pretend otherwise to spare your feelings. Pippa and especially Sue get a fair bit of flack but you don't see them here cribbin about it.

It's a website where they sell party stuff AFAIK, set up by Laura Cunningham who was/is editor of that wedding magazine Confetti?

Yea I agree with you about Pippa, she does seem lovely, like the nicest of them, but I'm not so sure about her reviews. She was raving about urban decay mascara one day, then she says her go to his maybelline and now she's plugging a max factor. I just can't keep up! 😅

She's plugging lancome and l'oreal mascaras now. :pac:

I love Pippa's style and makeup. However I'm unsure on whether or not she is being paid to promote certain brands. There has definitely been an increase in river island clothes in her posts to the point that is kinda suspicious. Maybe I'm wrong.

I follow Rosie Connolly for ages, and although she absolutely does my head in, it's hard to not keep up to date with her 'tough' life! I swear to god the hardest thing she does in an average day is collect missed parcels from the post office, which must provide SUCH hardship in her life, I can only imagine the grief she gets in receiving packages of free expensive stuff every day.

Bloggers worth following on snapchat who are actually witty enough to stick with and watch each snap --->

    Sharonleavy
    Alvacullen
    Roisinanna9

I think if you're not into someone's snaps you should just unfollow them. Some of them are getting a fair auld bashing in here and sure they're not doing anyone any harm.

I do agree that some of them are getting very repetitive and the constant product plugging is boring but as others have said there can't be many among who would turn down free stuff! Having said that if I see any more of them talk about that skinny tea shiite I'm going to lose my mind! :pac:

There are some great ones though like sharonleavy, jameskava, hollywooddublin, jenniferdevitt, cunninghamlaura and rosemarymaccabe, there's no bull**** from any of them whatsoever.

Speaking of Rosie Connolly, she hasn't snapped for a while and I have a feeling it might have something to do with this thread.

Agree with you about the unfollowing thing, as I said last night I don't think it's fair to be called a 'hater' just for saying you don't watch someone's snaps when they are too long - that's a complete overreaction and over-sensitive. But I have to admit last night I unfollowed Rosemary, just thought it got a bit ridiculous here and then to see her mean Snapchat specifically about this thread was just the icing on the cake. It's a shame, because I liked the majority of her Snaps and it would put me off reading Stellar too.

I'm following the bloggers on snapchat ages it started off well until they realised there was money to be made in my opinion it's the same few all the time advertising things from tower jewellers to west coast cooler constantly and it actually puts me off the company I used to love Rosie con and facesbygrace until they started plugging everything and anything were always joking about what they will advertise next as for the people who were charging the girl in the nail salon for a review shocking everyone has to start somewhere and we should be helping everyone do well

Yeah, the West Coast Cooler thing is a serious pain in the arse. I'm not following them on Instagram just because you've "taken it over". Will ya go'way out of that!

They just need to realise that we can see straight through the product placement And the plugging the final straw for me was two bloggers going to the hairdressers together both put a snap up of hair products in the salon saying something like this stuff is great it was so obvious they were getting it free it's making a fool out of people be honest the companies don't realise that the dishonesty will make the majority of us not buy from them

I don't think Rosie not snapping has anything to do with this thread. She suffers from anxiety and has been known to take days out here and there from snapping even before this thread was ever started.

Absolutely, yeah. But a lot of them have been checking out this thread and she's gotten the most negative things said about her so it wouldn't surprise me is more what I meant.

Really? I wouldn't say she's had any more negativity than anyone else. I'll need to have another read! Lol

In that she's been named specifically as being a Snapchatter people dislike. Perhaps I took it up wrong but it looked that way to me.

Part of me thinks if you're going to put yourself out there that you shouldn't read things like this. It isn't a positive thing to do. We don't know these people so they shouldn't care what we think. If someone isn't to my liking I unfollow them. Mostly it's my dislike of the lack of 'ts' bring sounded or frequency of the incorrect phrase 'I done' that tip me over. I just unfollow and am happy then. It's fairly simple.
