worth a listen, fair play to Charlie

Jesus - What a clown that guy is. Missing the point on multiple occasions and having a rant about McStay while doing the exact same thing himself.

Also opening with "The game was a great advertisement for the GAA" - WTF

It wasn't - that would be Hurling

    Shameful moronic cliched stuff

He was damm right to go to town on McStay for trying to hang Philly out to dry over the so called headbutt incident. A video (showing that Philly didn't do it) was already in circulation on Sunday night, before TSG even aired. It was up on the Indo's websites, so it was hardly so under ground they can say they didn't know about it. The RTE producers and McStay made themselves look like right eegits & Redmond was damm right to call them out for it, especially as it was an incredibly biased pov from a Mayo man. I am incredibly biased too & so is Charlie Redmond, but we aren't the ones getting up on our soap box on the national broadcaster. TSG should be held to a higher standard.

It was a good thing that Cillian O'Connor was putting the ball over the bar on Sunday. The rest of the Mayo forward line weren't exactly giving the scoreboard operator much to do in the first half. They need more from him and the other forwards if they are to do much on Saturday. They need to play for 70 minutes. Of course, Dublin's defence did not make it easy for them, and let's hope that is the case again on Saturday.

I got my ticket for Saturday this morning. Section 335 again. The girl on the desk gave me too much change, so I gave it back to her. Still hoping to get one for Sunday. It is a very long time since I missed a final, but they are never easy to get. It's only Wednesday, and it has often been Sunday before I got one, so I live in hope. Let's get through Saturday first.

They were all over the place when I went in too.

Some people mightn't look at the other threads, but just a heads up - apparently duplicate tickets have been issued with the real tickets - so just be carefully if anyone is buying tickets at the match

@Flukey - was there any Q to get the Parnell Pass tickets?

Thought it was a very biased interview from Redmond with a few bits of truth. There was more focus on Dublin mainly because we were the worse of the 2 when it came to bad incidents, and how can he say that game was a good representation of the gaa is beyond me. McStay can be generous to his beloved Mayo but to be fair until the latest angle came out I thought Philly had thrown a headbutt, so to have a go at McStay like that was a bit unfair. The 2 refs idea is something that could be useful especially for games like last Sunday.

McStay is still sticking the boot into Philly over the "headbutt" in his article in today's Herald, two days after that different angle of the incident surfaced.

I got there at half 9 and it was already around the corner, was longer when I was leaving.

It was a lot later in the morning when I got there, and it was a lot quieter by then. No queues, just a few people in the office. I wonder were some in that 9:30 queue non-Pass holders just looking for tickets and not realising they were for Pass holders only. Having the Pass is great now and even better if we get to the final. Good for those that go to league and club games too.

Deflect. Dissemble. Talk about the Dublin players.

I had thought that too but nobody was turned away and everybody who passed me on the way out had tickets.

Mayo will win the replay handy enough i reckon. The complete choking of the Dubs (again) has been lost in all the fall-out over the match incidents. The complete collapse will be on the minds of Dublin and it is an issue that has been in this team's makeup over the years. Mayo will see Sunday's last 10 as a sign that this Dublin team are not a new animal and i expect Mayo to go for the jugular. With or without Connolly.

A little ironic to be talking about choking and pointing the finger at a Dublin team that has multiple All Irelands to its name as against Mayo who have none including defeats in the 2012 and 2013 All Ireland finals as well as semi-final defeats in 2011 and 2014.

Not a bit worried about the last ten minute collapse carrying over into Saturday's game. Bear in mind that when it happened Fenton, McAuley and Bastick had all left the field and Dublin were playing with Tomas Brady (barely any championship football played this year) and Eric Lowndes (an under 21 half back with no championship football under his belt this year) in midfield. No way the collapse happens if 2 of our recognised midfielders are on the pitch.

Still confident of winning on Saturday with or without Connolly. Dublin are a better team than Mayo, shown by the fact that Mayo have failed to beat us in our last seven meetings.

Also lol at a Mayo fan calling another team chokers.

Is it true that 7up, coca cola & C&C are looking at relocating to Mayo as the are the best bottlers in Ireland😉

Irrespective of which team wins I doubt very much that it's going to be "handy"

    Not after last weeks game

Who are we kidding? We got cocky and completely bottled it the last day. That will give Mayo some confidence but I don't think it'll bear too much on the game as Dublin know that they can play much better. Had Dublin played to their peak and then blown it in a 5 minute period, then they'd really be kicking themselves but they should up their game on Saturday hopefully.

I think Dublin's lack of discipline (or maybe stupidity) had more to do with not winning the game than the panic in the last 10 mins.

If the discipline had been what it should be Dublin would have had a nice lead at half time.

You can't keep handing dead balls to O Connor and we'll lose on Saturday if we do

Choking. The irony that you are a mayo fan is not lost on me. The only reason you are in a replay is because the dubs let you back in. We have won 2 all irelands in the past 4 years. Back in your box.

Hopefuly it wont be as bad as the scoreline yis were on the receiving end of back in march in mchale park.

The thing about Sunday is it will be a kick to the Dublin team because they have played through some games this year at a canter. All the Leinster games weren't great at all it was like shooting practice for the team.

I do think really and truly need to fight the red card with all they have because at the end of the day its human nature to flip out in a high pressure moment if you are pulled to the ground with a headlock. I have also saw more images emerge and COC was stood over connolly with a clenched fist. Did he strike connolly first to draw the reaction from him because it seems weird for someone to be stood with a clenched fist instead of trying to pull them apart.

What was really infuriating was the fact that alot of the fouls were committed while the attacker was already well covered.

We were sloppy and handed Mayo far too many handy scores.

I'd say Jim has been drilling the importance of patience into them during the video sessions. There was no need to go flying in as Mayo didn't really have any idea what to do with the ball in the attacking third.

Actually just on the bottlers stuff i hadn't realised Alan Brogan and Cian O' Sullivan took heavy knocks in the last 10 too. When Dublin had the free in the last minute i was originally dismayed we didn't try and win the game but on reflection they were right. We were in no shape to match Mayo at that stage. We were all over the place with injuries, black cards and the red card. In the circumstances after the penalty i think we did quite well to get the draw.

McCaffreys flying block was epic btw.

the worst bit by COC was badgering the lineman after that to get someone sent off. Cowardly man.
