For what it's worth I can see my captain being Aguero too but his percentage in the poll will be way down I'd say.

    That's a good thing IMO.

Any considering Shariqi over the next few weeks? Nice fixtures after the Arsenal game.

He's looking good alright, and as you say they have a nice run of games. He's on my watchlist.

The amount of people here getting rid of Hazard is surprising. Before a decent fixture. Pedro is a bit sideways and Hazard definitely has the potential to outscore him

I sold him as I had both haz and Pedro. I prefer Pedro as I think he will score fairly close to hazard.

Option A: Mahrez and Sanchez out < Ayew and Pedro in (already have Gomis) 0.4 ITB.

Option B: Mahrez and Gomis out < Ayew and Wilson in. 1.7 ITB.

Option C: Chadli and Gomis out > Ayew and Wilson in. 1.6 ITB.

Option D: Chadli and Sanchez out > Ayew and Pedro in. 1.6 ITB.

Option E: Chadli out > Ayew in and use other FT elsewhere. 0.1 ITB.

    Decisions, decisions. Any thoughts appreciated.

eve and ARS aren't the easiest next two fixtures and he isn't delivering for an 11.4m player. I don't need the cash, Ayew has looked great and is scoring goals

I may well remain Chelsea less for both those fixtures.

If they do get it together gw7 away to Newcastle would be the first time I'd feel really exposed not having them. Costa could well be the way to go, he could benefit from Pedros directness and pulling defenders with his runs.

The GW5 captain thread will be interesting. Aguero and Sanchez the 2 obvious choices, but both coming off 2 blanks in a row.

I think I'll be sticking with Aguero. Learned that lesson too many times before. Stick with him through the blanks and he will reward the faithful and smite those who doubt!! :)

Had a look at Aguero history since his arrival in the PL. I mean home vs away scoring (=> http://www.soccerbase.com/players/player.sd?player_id=44554&season_id=144). Unfortunately don't know where to find the assists info.

    season | home | away | total
    2011/12 |16 | 7 | 23
    2012/13 | 7 | 5 | 12
    2013/14 | 10 | 7 | 17
    2014/15 | 13 | 13 | 26
    total | 46 | 32 | 78

Bar its first season it's pretty even (30 vs 25). And last year was perfectly distributed.
But he never scored at Selhurst Park... (only a two games datum though). He actually didn't at the Etihad too...

All that said, I remember last year checking that sticking with a premium player captain (Aguero, Sanchez or Hazard) and swallowing his bad run was returning more points overall than trying to find the pick of the GW (I remember we checked these figures over several boardsies history and none of us had bettered the potential single captain return).

Too much money tied up in him for the points return he is giving.

He's a class act, and like Chelsea, I expect him to come good but something isn't right in the club at the minute. They have the best manager in the world IMO so I'm sure they'll turn it round.

When they do, I'll bring him back in probably but no point holding him until then.

    The fixtures look nice alright.

I need to replace Romero. My other keeper is Hennessey and I have .5 in the bank. Selling Romero gives me 5.5 but I'm undecided whether to go with a 5 or pick up a 4.5 and upgrade Hennessey to a 4.5 in another gameweek and rotate them.

I'm trying to decide which 5 GK to choose and also looking at fixtures for 4.5 GKs. Fabianski is out cos I have three Swansea players.

Feck it, sold out and did Haz to Ayew to beat price rise. Maybe some injuries will force my hand with the WC :pac:

I went all in and did 2 early transfers last night for -4. Part of a plan for my team but also should be worth 0.5 to 0.6 in value so I'll admit this is a move inspired by my value building tactics.

Sweating every tackle in the internationals but if i get away without a major injury it will pay off. Even 1 injury i could probably handle with my bench.

Mahrez to Arsenal would certainly shake some things up. I can't find anywhere if he still joined up with Algeria squad after his knock

I've got exactly enough in the bank to do Mahrez + Yaya to Pedro + Silva. It would cost me -4 but would leave me with a midfield of Sanchez - Ayew - Silva - Pedro - Anya.

With both Silva and Pedro close to a rise I possibly couldn't afford this midfield without major readjustments elsewhere. Like FHFC I'd be sweating on injuries during the international break. Funds for dealing with said injuries also would be wiped out with this move. Should I strike while the iron is hot or hold my horses for a while?

The Mahrez to Arsenal deal is quite unlikely so hold tight.

If I were to sell Hazard, who for? Already have Ayew and 3 city

I have no one from Chelsea.
Assuming he stays at Leicester (which would be best for Mahrez) I would take the -4 hit because long term looks a very good move.
Pedro (who I'll resist bringing in even though he is rising in value) is a cheap way into Chelsea and De Bruyne signing means Toure will play deeper imo.

    Sanchez?

Sounds a wee bit risky especially if it leaves you busted (no flexibility to deal with the unexpected as you've highlighted). From a vamue increasing pov youre selling 2 rising players (Mahrez has stalled but still trending upwards abd yaya rising quicker than Silva) for 2 other rising players so no major benefits.

I'd also be happy to stick with yaya too till we see the impact of KDB on Silvas role.

My move was to shift a non moving player and a player likely to drop 0.1min for 2 fairly certain 0.2 risers leaving me 4.6m in the bank and pretty much any transfer i want for GW6. My midfield is now Yaya, Sanchez, Mahrez, Ayew.

I'd like to bank it but I'm not sure. I'm considering Payet out for Ayew or Sakho out for Gomis as I don't like having 2x West Ham, but (NEW) is a nicer fixture than (wat). I'll probably lose 0.1 for giving it thought, but I'd rather be a bit surer in my decision than chase the price rise.

Had 2 free transfers so did Darmian and Depay to Muniesa and Pedro. I'm obviously taking a risk with the internationals to come but I guess most people are in the same boat.

I held off with my transfers in the end. Despite Silva rising I'm happy enough with the decision. No need for risky moves just yet.

With regard to Sanchez, I'm holding on to him because I think he will come good soon. He's the Arsenal mid least likely to be rotated and has been unlucky not to score higher so far. Of course if push came to shove, he could always be downgraded to Ozil/Ramsey to free up funds for elsewhere. Even with their tough fixtures coming up I have a suspicion that Arsenal could do quite well.

It might seem like a sideways move in terms of potential points returns, but would you not got Pedro in? Would free up a nice amount of cash.

Regarding my own team, I want to bring in Kolorov (I know, kind of missed the boat on his rises), so I'm first looking at who to get rid of from the below?

Alderweireld - Bellerín - Cédric (tempted to move Bellerin to Monreal too, as he's been getting BAPs as opposed to Bellerin).

I'll also need to offload Huth as he's my fifth defender and is close to a drop. Any suggestions there? (Ward is my 4th defender)

Need some info on the finance side of things first. Is money a problem ? I'm not sure what you have to work with. Do you need to downgrade a 5.0 to a 4.5 to be able to upgrade your 5.5 Bellerin to 5.8 Kol ?

Money is currently no object. 2.8 in the bank. I typically play 3-5-3 though, so don't like having a 5m+ defender sitting on the bench every week. Midfield decisions are a discussion for another day :)

3-5-3 ?! Great! An extra attacker :p. Noice...

Is Alder really worth the £5.0m? Spurs got 1 CS. They weren't great for them last year. They don't have a particularly good run of fixtures. Alder to Kolarovand you still have £2.0m in the bank.

Kolarov Bellerin/Monreal Cédric would give you a solid defense you'd play most weeks. I presume Kolarov & your Arsenal def would play every week so if I were you I'd have a look at say the next 6-10 fixtures to see which GWs you'd "have" to bench Cédric and see who offers the best fixtures (from what I remember, Stoke, Leicester, Bournemouth, Villa rotate well with Saints upcoming fixtures).

    Kol - Monreal - Cedric - Amavi -Francis = 25.8

    Kol - Ward - Francis - Martin - Morgan = 23.8

Both workable. Both lineups pretty much nailed on in their sides for the next 5-6 games.

    (2 Slight Cautions)
Kolarov will be at risk of rotation when Clichy comes back - how much risk is anyones guess with Pellegrini.

Monreal should be safe for now but again who knows when Wenger will decide Gibbs needs a run ?

Depends on whether you want to save cash for Mid - Att or whether you want Def from Specific teams etc.

If you want an expensive Def - I'm the wrong person to give advice.
