    Called a house spider.

They're pretty big in fairness, about the length of a fag box and the legs can be as thick as a match

This is entirely not true with the common house spider.

plus one in the canteen would flick fly carcasses into people's lunch now and then.

Even as someone who's pretty terrified of anything above average sized spiders, this one sounds like great craic altogether. He'd be a fun gimmick to have performing at parties :D

Interesting fact. In an average life time a person will unknowingly swallow four rats while asleep.

That's just a story made up to hide the fact that people love eating tasty rats.

I heard about a guy who heard about a guy who had a 14 foot long Boa Constrictor surgically removed from his stomach having unknowingly swallowed it in his sleep.

Did he swallow it after it used to sleep beside him while it was secretly measuring him up for dinner?

Ye have absolutely no sense of humour, he was only having a bit of harmless banter. Now, if he'd started chucking bits of fly sh!te at people, that's where it would cross the line into just plain obnoxious.

Something like that yeah. Apparently he said he was dreaming about eating spaghetti.

If he used the word 'banter', then he deserved to die.

Don't get the hate for spiders, they keep to themselves, don't go near you and kill flies and other more annoying insects.

Was at a Bug Zoo in Canada years ago and got to hold a tarantula in my hand, completely docile creature and would cure anyone's fear of spiders.

Probably the same as the one this thread is about.

    Called a house spider.

They're pretty big in fairness, about the length of a fag box and the legs can be as thick as a match(as opposed to big ones with legs like a head hair).
You can hear these walking on the ground they're so big.

They start coming indoors around Aug-Sept as they're looking for mates.
I think the bigger ones are males, the opposite sex are small whichever way it goes.

I'm not too scared of "big spiders" but these ones kind of get me in fairness.

That's all fine until one of these spiders decides it wants you as its mate.

Our one was jet black, it was getting bigger from all the insects in was eating, was sprayed with everything imaginable and whacked with anything that could reach it. It didn't give a fvck, tough little cnut all the same just vanished one day, worryingly enough.

I bet you didn't spray it with FIRE!
