    I dont think there will be much rain in parts of the west till wed, met eireann are v v poor in general,

    Doesn't matter how hard any man, woman or child works, the difference in it between east and west is there to be seen in weather patterns for the last 60 years. so it is in fact different depending on where you are situated.

    We live on a relatively small island but have to deal with a complex weather system.
    Irish weather patterns/forecasts are very difficult to predict due to been sandwiched between the Atlantic Ocean and the land mass of Europe. That is my understanding of the lay mans terminology.
    I understand that our weather patterns are based on records from the British Naval Service in the 1860's and since.

    Very true but the difference in weather is there to be seen hence the popular term "sunny south east" as in general this is where the best weather is in Ireland.

    For example this certainly won't be happening in the west of Ireland unless of course we get the mother and father of all indian summers

    I lived in dublin for four years and by in large it's like a totally different climate much milder and generally less rainfall. Also a longer growing season and mean air temps are higher. It's just how it is, no one said People in the east of Ireland work less at they're farming but the weather is kinder to them.

    I think his point was that the forecast spouted can often be what's gonna happen in the Dublin and the East, particularly on smaller broadcasts without giving a breakdown for the rest of the country

    Had a big cloud burst here earlier on around half 2 left a 2-3mm film of water across the road! Dry and humid now though but still F all sunshine.

    The weather in the west is brutal, rain almost every day the last 8 or so weeks. Land very wet. Worst spell of weather I remember.

    Seen a few fields in sh1te after baling around the place alright, one fella got round one swarth with a 10ft trailed mower till he near went to the axle! Another tractor and baler not too far away have been stuck for the last day think they are going to have to tow from the road to have any hope a couple of tractors have tried and failed from the field already they have the baler out but the beached tractor is proving a tougher job. :(

    The bog was midge central this evening. How much per bag would ya want to be getting for saving and delivering per bag? Meal/manure bag mixture. I'm friendly enough with the same fella.
