    Three

I have the OPO already and works fine on LTE so i'd imagine the OPT would be the same.

Hmm Just making sure we know what I'm saying...

Yes I have a opo too but I'm talking about the Chinese variant on oppomart, they have the Oneplus 2 ( again, its the Chinese variant that has only 3 of the 6 bands of the international variant). My question is: Does anyone know if those 3 bands are fine over here? What bands do three use. What about normal GSM stuff?

Thanks for your responce, there is a difference between the Chinese variant 4G bands has only band 3 1800 displayed and the European variant of 4G has band 20 800 and band 3 1800 hence my question about the 3 network in Ireland which version of 4G do they use.

Do three only band 3 band on 4G?

How long are people thinking it will take to get an invite through the normal invite method? I'm around 400k on the list (can't find the original email right now and logging in tells me nothing).

I'm waiting to see reviews but €399 for 64gig and 4gig ram looks pretty good.

Folks dont forget, the invite system is only going to be used when there are spare invites to be given out. So if someone does not claim their invite it will be passed onto the first person in the waiting list. Thats alot of ifs and buts. Its going to take quite some time for them to start filtering down.

Dam i didnt realise that! I thought it was invite only so i would be the 400k person to get one. There is something about when someone gets an invite they get to give one away aswell? I presume the extra ones go in ahead of a regular invite like mine?

Well the bad news for me is I don't have a lot of time to pick it up so if I don't have an invite by early September I'll probably have to leave it.

But that's good news for ye since I'm pretty high in the queue! :P

The first batch of invites that have gone out cant be shared.Apparently they are tied to your account/email address and are non shareable.

I've gone and chanced the Oppomart one with a rosewood back. The 3 variants have little effect on us in Europe, the Chinese version will work on all existing 4g networks in Ireland so no downside...

How much did it work out for you in € total?

After looking into it, If your on three mobile you may have a reduced LTE coverage as they use 800mhz for some of their rural coverage. But if your happy with the One's LTE reception then you'll be happy with it as its no different.

After seeing my nexus 5 pulling LTE in places that the opo cant, I think I'll hang on for the invite myself.

466euro inc postage and a Rosewood Swapstyle cover...

I wouldnt use Three if you paid me to use, too many bad experiences with that network.

And did I read it's posted from within EU?

Think I'll go that route next month if I have the money

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,263 ✭✭✭jones

Just noticed i've dropped down the invite list. I checked it last night i was originally 460k on the list and now i've 498k. The invites people are giving out when they purchase the phone obviously do jump ahead of the queue

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,217 ✭✭✭maximoose

You'll continuously move down the list as the people below you do referrals to move above you.

FYI for anyone buying from China and wanting Dual SIM use.

'The Chinese version only has one IMEI meaning you will not have dual-SIM capability outside of China. If you like having dual SIMs, do not buy the Chinese version'

From a mod on the oneplus site.

I call bull on that, In fact I'll bet every dual sim phone has only one Imei and that would only be a problem if you tried to join the same network twice.

Oppomart say its dual sim capable... It either is or isn't... another thing... Dual Sim is primarily for the Asian market where there is a HUGE demand for such things so it would amaze me if they gimped it in the very region that demands it.

A forums mod is not a reliable source.

Could be. It was admin if that adds anything.
Maybe they don't like the reselling?
