But wasn't that a double gameweek for Chelsea? I think that made it a different situation tbf. A lot of people set up with 3 Chelsea and 3 whoever the other team was and wildcarded straight afterwards.

I hadn't. Had no intention of using the WC that gameweek. Just decided to go with it.

If it is part of your strategy fair enough and we know that you think long and hard about what you do. But you have to admit Lemlin that some people on here saying it are kneejerking

That word again. As I said, for me, they are obviously thinking about the game if they are on this site so they cannot be called "kneejerkers".

If your team isn't right, there's no point sitting back. I've seen people mention having Courtois, Walcott and other non starters/suspended players. If I'd a team with 3-4 players that could miss out going forward, I wouldn't hesitate in pulling that trigger.

35pts all in. Only Rooney and Azpi delivered for me (10 and 6). All 2s otherwise. Despite this, I'm sitting 18th in the Boards Qualifying League and 631k overall. I know tonight's game could/will shift that somewhat but I'll certainly take it!

Folk better hope Aguero don't get injured tonight ........

Wouldn't go wishing injuries on anyone (except maybe Delph ;) ) but strategically speaking an Aguero injury would suit me. I would prefer my plans not to centre around him, but they will.

Liverpool Leicester and Liverpool Norwich offer a great first 8 rotation and as a previous poster said there is no point in looking much further than 8 weeks ahead.
Yeah but are Norwich really a good bet? Or was it just the Stoke, Bournemouth and Leicester upcoming home games?

About 'Pool, I didn't see the game so actually have no idea but are we not underestimating Liverpool defense and CS potential? Last year they started crap and it took many of us quite some time to realise that at some point they had the co-best CS record (or a very close second to Saints) in the game...

I'm just looking at 8 weeks as I will have wildcard ed by then and of the 4 times I'll use the Norwich defender I'd feel there is a good chance of a c.s. With regard Liverpool there away fixtures are so poor you couldn't choose a Def like Clyne 5.5 as you need to play him every week at that price. However as there home fixtures are so good gomez at 4.5 and mig at 5 are great as part of a rotating defence. It was a marginal decision for me with picking Norwich over Liverpool for a clean sheet this week for the next 7 weeks it's a lot more clearcut. What swung it for me was I was going with bent eke and didn't want 2 Liverpool in a tough game.

In fairness I mentioned the season rotation as a quick and global indicator but I've been and still am pretty happy using FFS next 6 ticker for my 6th season in the game .

Cheers for this great piece of information. That's exactly the things I didn't have time to go through this year and I guess it mainly explains Gomez popularity here.

It was always most likely Aguero wouldn't start. If you thought otherwise you were misguided. Aguero on the bench is a result for thoseof us who went with him gw1.

Aguero on bench and sterling starting is the best possible news I could have heard.

if he scores one i'll be getting him in or even looks any way sharp when he comes on.

I wonder where that chap is that made fun of folk saying did he want a heart attack playing Costa Walcott and Aguero and then being smug with himself with Costa starting....

Any non owners and owners of Aguero who actually expected him to start really don't know Aguero or how tjey manage him.

20min cameo with a start v Chelsea, City will look to beat Chelsea given their lacklustre pre season and start.

    Sterling starts and Aguero doesn't.

    That's all I wanted.

Hopefully this game is wrapped up early, preferentially with sterling involved in the goals, and aguero won't need to be brought on.

Aguero to come on after 67 minutes grabs a goal and assist.

The only question that remains is how many penalties Yaya will have scored in the meantime

#Aguero started the first 2 games of last season on the bench & scored in both

It's not going to be fun watching Sterling miss a hattrick after the weekend that's just gone.

I don't think West Brom will be the easy game for City that people are expecting.

Ah here, a lot of other gambles paid off this week, Gomez, Mahrez, Costa starting...I've had shít luck

Pulisball is a magnificent, beautiful beast that strikes when it wants :)

I'm certainly not expecting an easy game. Having Aguero ready for Chelsea without 2 transfers is the result here.

However we all know Aguero can score against anyone so coming on when WBA are tired could lead to a bonus.

Dont wanna kick you when you're feeling down here, but Mahrez starting was not in doubt, Gomez was also more than likely. Very very few risked Costa, for those who did the payoff was 2 points. Walcott was unfortunate, but always a possibility. Bellerin and Courtois were blind bad luck but affected a lot of people.
