Very sluggish for me on xbox one the last few days.

I am almost done with 1997 episodes of RAW. It is defiantly a year to watch for RAWs alone and it was fun to see the transformations of Stone Cold, The Rock and Triple H during this year as well.

Awful screen tearing on chrome, have updated flash and it made no difference. Unwatchable.

I havnt watched the Network in months but Chrome used to be sketchy for me by times so I switched to watching it on internet explorer which was pretty reliable. Still though, for €13 a month one would expect it to be perfect all the time, no matter the browser.

Weird. Works for me on games consoles without the unblockus. Assuming you reset you PS3s internet settings and weren't using Unblockus' DNS on youre router then I dunno. After I cancelled unblockus I wasn't able to access the network until I reset the Playstation's DNS.

Ah, sure aren't I the fool! Never reset the DNS! I'm off to hang my head now in pure shame!

The network is unwatchable on the Xbox 360 at the moment in my house. Keeps stopping for 15 seconds to play 20 secs. I have fairly slow satellite broadband but always amazed how Netflix doesnt have the same problem. Consistent unreliability the Network has!

Thought the podcast was ok, certainly interesting anyway.

She seemed a bit nervy though, maybe that explains the constant hair touching.

I think she wanted her some of the Rattlesnake - she seemed quite flirty at times!

Watching Royal Rumble 98. Tyson wad that excited that Austin won, he couldn't even speak. He called him "Cone Stold" when Maggie was interviewing him

Just watched ECW Heat Wave 98, pretty great show.

You get to see RVD act like a dick towards his tag partner, then have a great match with two Japanese wrestlers, New Jack was supposed to have a match but doesn't (I really hate New Jack), lots of swearing, the Dudleys are bastards, Taz has the "F*ck the World" title, and Awesome and Tanaka knock the shíte out of each other for 12 minutes or so.

I also hate New Jack, but his run in on this show is pretty incredible. If only just for the pop.

Also on this show there is a Tanaka Vs Mike Awesome spot fest which is pretty brutal. Great fun though.

Anytime I watch this show though, I am always greatly amused by the father and son front and centre. The son is quite happy with what is going on, while the father is bored silly and eating for the duration.

Never noticed the father and son, sounds kinda funny :P Yeah, I enjoyed Tanaka and Awesome, first experience I had with their feud was the match at the first One Night Stand. Awesome went in as probably the most hated man in the building (and that's saying something when you had JBL up in the rafters calling people fruit booties), and by the end they were getting a standing ovation.

What type of rips are we getting with the Network? I just saw Sky Box Office logo briefly on Insurrextion 2000.

The banners in the arena had the Sky Box Office logo on them.

Insurrextion 2000 is one of the UK PPVs. They didn't air in the US. Sky Box Office would be the only carrier of those events.

Watching summerslam 2010 in the run up to this years event. Interesting stuff so far.

Was it ever explained why themes like DDPs and Goldbergs are dubbed over on wcw events?

I can understand why Hogans Hendrx music and Stings Metallica song would be.

But the likes of DDPs and Goldbergs would be done by Jimmy Hart from my understanding and would have thought he'd have no problem with them being used.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,166 ✭✭✭Stereomaniac

I seem to remember Dallas Page's theme music being a fairly blatant rip off of Smells Like Teen Spirit, so much so that I was surprised it ever got used in the first place back then. I see on Wikipedia there that none of Bill Goldberg's themes were written by Jimmy Hart and at one stage he actually used Megadeth and on one occasion used Bobby Keys even.

DDP's theme is a rip-off of Nirvana's Smells Like Teen Sprit, Dave Grohl wasn't happy about it back then. I guess WWE wants to avoid any copyright issues becuase of that.
