Yeah, I went in expecting to hate Skylar because I'd heard so much hate about her but it never kicked in for me.

That colour thing is all through the series, different colours representing different characters and events. For example Marie wore purple because it's the furthest colour from yellow on the artists' colour wheel. Yellow being the colour of (normal) meth. Hence Jesse wore a lot of yellow.

Google "breaking bad colour theory", it goes quite deep.

AJ in the Sopranos, little self entitled wuss with no work ethic or ambition, obviously a major disappointment to his father. The sister used to bug the hell out of me too, spoiled little rich girl with a disgusting attitude.

They were horrible kids, but products of their parents. If they were any other way, it would be unrealistic for most.

But, don't they grow up a bit during the series? I remember "hating" them less by the end of the show.

Come to think of it there were very few likable characters in the show..Hanks wife was another dose as well as Jessies girlfriend.

But that's my point, he is actually one of the more likable/sympathetic characters in the show. I certainly don't think he's a hateful character. A little dry and underdeveloped perhaps, but what was he going to do? He's a disabled schoolkid for much of the series.

Any character portrayed by Bradley Cooper.

His break-neck speed delivery is extremely grating. Silver Linings Playbook and American Hustle are two widely acclaimed films he starred in recently that I thought were ruined by his presence.

Was an A-hole in the Hangover films too.

AJ was a twad, but he was the inevitable product of a toxic marriage and a distant self loathing father who crushed his son with his own insecurities and dysfunction. All in contrast to the warmth he showed Meadow who ended up as a relatively well rounded human despite everything. The Sopranos had the most psychological depth of any show before or since.
