Now, will all the adoring fans follow them to Amazon. I'm willing to bet not (and that includes me)

    Technically, No.

There are way around this. If you really wanted to pay for it

Car parked outside all packed and cleaned, have to say about the Accord leaving aside the pain it has caused me, you can fit a serious amount of stuff in the boot.
    Very impressed.

I do, my parents in law are using it as they are constantly having car trouble.
May get rid of it soon though cause it's becoming nonviable in the long term.
Also planning on changing the Accord hopefully before the year is out.
Only reliable cars in constant use are the Fiats surprisingly

I asked as I wasn't sure if id have to go early to get a new rear wiper blade as the old one was in bits. 2/3 clips broken and half of the rubber pulled off. Anywho went in early to get one. I tried 3 different places including Halfords and none of them had a rear wiper blade in stock.. So got fed up and just went for it, fearing the worst. It passed n.c.t for 1 year.. Not really a fan of the yellow n.c.t disc though.

Congrats on it passing :) . Still I don't know how you would drive around with a rear wiper in bits. I use my one a good bit in rain especially when reversing. I would generally change them all on a yearly basis or earlier if needed it rains way too much in Ireland to have bad wipers that can't clear the window properly.

Nice one. At least it passed. Ive noticed that the inspections have gone a bit half arsed lately. They didnt even open the boot for my test this year. The new discs are a bit bright alright. A garda can tell the car is tested 100m on approach to a checkpoint :P

That is the one thing I actually do miss from my old car. Not that they're nessesary, just handy really. But why the hell do saloons not have rear wipers?

Saloons don't really need them. Hatches definitely do though.

Cheers, I never realised it was in bits as I never really use it.. I always just use wing mirrors.

Any saloon i've had could benefit from one. Might give RainX a try. What are peoples opinions of it?

Some of the skylines and Chasers have them and they do look terrible.

I dont mind when they lie flat like on a slyline, but If they're laid vertically then i think they look awful.

My Civic doesn't have one, although it would be difficult to make a wiper that fits that design. Heated screen does the job, I find.

Well the Focus went in for it's NCT yesterday. I had the rear brake lines sprayed a couple of weeks ago in preparation (expected to fail it on rusted rear lines, so I got them sprayed as a precautionary measure).

So I went in thinking that it would fail on all 4 tyres, the window tints and brake pads. I said to myself that if it throws up anything else, then I'll get rid of it, and move on, and if it fails on only those things, I'd consider keeping it.

At the end, the chap came over and told me it failed on tints and 3 tyres. I was shocked! I really, genuinely thought there'd be more wrong with it (Especially as he took about three times as long to test it as every other car that was there. I thought they ran into a problem or such with it, it took that long, VS other cars times).

So it looks like the legend of the rattly old focus with the squeaky wheel will live on for at least another 6 months (might change it when insurance is due).

Here's a question though; if i were to rock up to the test centre for the visual re-test, with 4 new tyres (well.. part worn.. not paying for anything fancy!), could I throw €20 at the tester to turn a blind eye to the tints?

I'm just thinking of the hassle of taking them off, and then getting them put back on again an hour later. Seems win-win for all involved? (well.. except the chap that'd be otherwise getting paid to re-do the tints, of course)

    No? ?

If they are illegal tints then they shouldn't be on it. .

And you got the brake lines sprayed to cover rust?
I'm sorry but are you serious?
Its for your own safety like.

"Rusted brake line hidden! Yes saved myself 100 euro!"

Brake failure 8 weeks later. .
