The Cork football team are a disgrace. Full stop. Wipe out of panel and management needed.

    Come on Cork!

Don't disappoint a Corkman twice in one weekend!!! :)

Happy to be only 4 pts down at ht

Galway, easily the better team. We look as if we haven't really gotten going yet.
Galway should be further ahead, some awful wides by them.

Our defence look as if they have never played together before, all over the place bar Murphy who is putting Canning under a lot of pressure, also Canning got booked for swinging off him through his own frustration.

If we actually mark in defence, Mannion especially is being given the freedom of Thurles, and deliver faster ball to Harnedy, we can win.

That early goal could come back to haunt us. Just not firing at all. And what's this with two men jumping for the same ball?! Basic stuff. We're still keeping the scoreboard ticking over I suppose. Purple patch to come?!

A lot of cheap yellows being issued. Could see a red or two issued by the end of this game

    This is looking very ominous
Some very poor decisions from Nash and the back 6, where they going with short puckouts
Wides and poor marking of Galway forwards where they've easy possession and unanswered pressure all thru
In fairness Hoggy is trying hard

Poor stuff. Two bad uninspiring displays this weekend from both senior teams. Last time Cork failed to play in August in the football or hurling championships....2001.

Please ban Cahalane from ever playing for Cork in any form of sport in the future.

This is worse than last night. Gutless performance and an embarrassment to Cork GAA. Waved the white flag early.

Ellis would be better off closing his eyes and hitting the ball as he simply gave away so much ball.

We limped out of both championships. Shocking

Our CCB lack of effort at underage is proof positive of our results this weekend.

feel sorry for anybody you made the trip to thurles this weekend,

there are 260 gaa clubs in county cork,

cork should be challenging for the all ireland in both codes every year,

something radical needs to be done, to improve things

    only my opinion

Look where we are tonight. 25 years since the double. Jesus Christ.

Both Cork teams lacked leaders .... Is cuthbert afraid to use young players Sean Kiely and Alan Croinin they should at least have been on the bench. Next year whoever is in charge needs to use young players for example Sean Powter,Shane Kingston and Daniel Dineen . We need to learn from other counties

Maybe they would want to go with only one Intermediate Championship in hurling and football not two. Too many weak teams in them.

JBM was ready to deck Joanne cantwell there and you couldn't blame him.

    S**t sick of loosing

    Total balls of a year

    No end in sight either

Cards on the table, not a GAA fan, but watch the occasional match. The problem with JBM is that he's too nice. Nice is ok if you are managing a good team, but when the players are mediocre or just not bothered, nice doesn't cut it. The amount of sloppy passes was unbelievable, he should be bollocking them with a few more on the pitch.

They play short passes because if they hit it long the forwards won't win it in the air.

A really strange game today.Cork never got going at all.I was ready for the start of the game and wished Cork would win here in an earlier post and when I turned it on we were a goal down after a minute.

The usual slow start that is so annoying. We were actually still in it from Galway and in particular Joe Canning missing so much.

Other than that nothing went our way but we didn't make it happen either. A fair shoulder resulted in us getting a yellow card. Daniel Kearney seems to be fouled every time he does anything but didn't get much from the ref.

Ellis gave a way 2 points that I can think of straight away.Walsh seems to take an extra few touches and needs a few extra seconds on each ball resulting in him being closed down.

I don't understand why the team doesn't seem fired up from the start and for that we have to blame the manager. Players all follow his line and JBM seems to be unable to get them going. Its been a problem all year.

When I played Cork minor we all were told to get stuck in early and if you didn't you were taken off. Cahalane seems to be a very timid type player but he gets himself sent off with a flick of a hurley and his wrist.

In fairness Lehane and Horgan seemed to be ploughing away and really tried hard.Harnedy didn't seem to get into the game at all.We couldn't win any of our puck outs with an early stat being only 1 out of 8 won. Not sure what it was in the end.

Evey time Galway got the ball they had loads of space. If we can't get the basics right like closing men down then there is no chance. What I didnt see and knew it was a bad sign was no one berating a teammate to close their men down. It seemed like an it-will-be-alright-on-the-night approach.

We have to make things happen. Coughlan came on and got a free shot and missed. Not good enough. We need guys chomping at the bit to show why they should be on from the start and not missing anything easy.Cadogan looked lively when he came on and got fouled but nothing given.

I am not blaming the ref here at all but a few things here and there, means guys start to have their heads drop and then don't put the effort in.They shouldn't do this but we all know the guys who stop playing when things are against them.

JBM looked really angry in the post match interview and rightly so. He has got to be embarassed.Whatever was happening this year we seem to have little fight so if he stays on he needs to instill that in us.Thats the main thing missing. Tough tackling and going in hard but fair. By all accounts club hurling here has gone very soft and that seems to be backed up with the senior team.

A really bad weekend for Cork.I think we are at a crossroads here. Either everything is stepped up a gear with a new attitude in both codes or else we will be down for many years to come.We need to have a swagger about us and mean business no matter if we are playing Kerry or Kilkenny. Not going there hoping for the best.

To be honest he brought them to within a second of winning an all ireland and won a munster title last year so to say he is too nice to manage a mediocre does not run true. In fact I think he has done far better than he really should have with that bunch of players.

Because they are poor hurlers inferior to their inter-county counterparts.

On the way home from Thurles and thinking. First year since I started going to Cork games that I won't go to a Cork game (in either code) in Croke Park. My first game was as a 6 year old in the All-Ireland Semi in 99. Shows how much we're struggling.

Seems the first touch, able to take a sideline has gone missing with this team. Is it the coaching or the players at fault for this?

Who are the county board and how do you get onto it and what has to be done to sort it

Frank Murphy and a bunch of muppets. The first requirement to get in is gross incompetence - as for sorting it out - I'd start with something easier like getting rid of Putin.

While the County Board deserve criticism, the way the players capitulated today and showed no pride in themselves or the jersey was a disgrace. Shameful display.

I`m afraid it all leads back to frank .Its taken longer than he thought , but he has really wrecked the Cork teams .Oh and nothing will change .

Donal OGrady should have got the job , but he would not have allowed frank to interfere . So we are where we are and going nowhere .

franks boast ( that Cork hurlers are like mushrooms that sping up every year ) sounds a bit hollow now .
