The 1/4 favourites who were tipped to win easy look buried at HT.

Kildare are playing well and their finishing has been very good.

I wonder what the hand passing stats have been there's been a huge amount of hand passing from Kidare so far in the game and Cork are letting then pop the ball around as the please.

Its hard to figure out Cork at times, they have been very poor this evening.

Players who stood up to be counted against Kerry in the drawn final are no where to be seen, playing Kerrigan as a sweeper is a joke,a man with his pace should be played where he can cause damage.

I think it's the week turnaround syndrome.Teams find it very hard to raise themselves psychologically.
Particularly hard in Cork's case after the titanic struggles with Kerry. They are much better than what they shown thus far.All credit to Kildare, they are playing very well and are well up for it.The momentum of the few wins via the back door is invaluable.Lest we forget though they were roundly beaten by Dublin, puts match standard in some context.

This isn't saying much for Kerry either if they nearly lost to Cork as most would agree that Kildare haven't changed into a contender overnight.

From 8 up Kildare were not bad against Dublin. Haven't seen them otherwise. Cork looking flat.

It's not that hard really. Bad tactics and OConnor going off.
We've completely lost midfield since he got injured.
Slow lateral play is making it easy for Kildare to get their shapoe back and defend.

Fast ball is needed by the Cork towards, this should have happened after the 20th minute but Cuthbert likes to think things over for a while before making a decision. We look tired, the last thing we should be doing is slow lateral hand passing and yet we are!

Cork are putting no pressure on across the 45. They look wrecked.

Im a kildare man. Getting a serious buzz from this game. Kildare can only beat who they meet... They have 61% posession. We were soundly beaten by dublin but i deem them a different animal

They're a very mediocre team who just raise their game against their local rivals.

It happens in very sport-Sunderland are consistently worse than Newcastle but raise their game in derbies, etc

Full backs slicing through and scoring against them

How did they make a balls of that

Really could have been a turning point

Edit: as Kildare have just proved

Cork could do with less hand passing, less lateral passing and far more quick direct ball to their inside forwards.

How many in attendance? Not much of an atmosphere. Kildare giving it a good lash but you would have to think Cork will have too much for them.

3,815 watching Cork displaying what happens when your legs don't work like they used to before. The rest must be at Croke Park for Ed Sheeran.

At least Sky will be able to claim that more watched it than attended :pac:!

So much for Kerry getting the easy draw!

Kildare look really well organized and strong.

Really didn't expect this Cork collapse. Worst I've every seen Cork. On a par with last year's Munster Final. Cuthbert surely gone.

Kildare will be playing Kerry in the QF,not Dublin.

I don't think so? I thought the only team that they couldn't meet was Westmeath as they met in the final?

Is Brian Cuthbert's two year managerial term up this year?

No, where possible, repeat pairings are avoided, so we're going to have a pretty novel quarter final with the biggest v smallest playing populations matching up

The first few times I saw Paul Cribben play I thought he was useless and had zero football in him but this year he's been excellent and proved me completely wrong and his footballing ability is miles ahead of what I initially thought.Him and Moolick look a great partnership in midfield they have good ball winning ability and both are brilliant athletes and able to cover a huge amount of ground.

If it was a two year term it's up this year, yeah.

    If so... Good riddance.

Congrats Kildare, belter of a 3rd quarter. Two tough games and a quick turnaround didn't help Cork. Cuthbert gone now surely. They've suffered some bad beatings over the last two years.

Yes I think the one week turn around has certainly had an affect on Cork.

But that's no ones fault but their own, they had chances to beat Kerry the first day
