are these guys getting too big for their boots? was there a couple of months ago for the first time checking out some bikes. very impressed with the shop and staff. very helpful but i did feel they were a little 'marketing friendly'. i wonder are the guys on the floor under a bit too much pressure? after checking out some bikes, i returned home to have a think. i left it be for a couple of weeks then i started getting calls from i assume their marketing department. i never answered and they never left a message. they attempted to call me a few times but i never answered. i dont like marketing calls. i am currently in the process of purchasing a bike from my lbs. im glad i did so. more friendly service and i just wanted to support my lbs. i was very impressed with the staff at cyclesuperstore but not impressed with their 'marketing skills'. im just wondering are their over heads a bit too much and are their staff members under too much pressure? im getting a feeling theyre getting a litte too big and employing anybody and probably paying them crap money.

Maybe they just wanted to give you a bag of capital letters on special offer?

In fairness, your reply made me laugh. And, yes, I did detect the sarcasm.

    Have a Thanks on me

more or less abandoned phones long time ago. tis geat. very peaceful
Then don't bother with CSS as they do not reply to emails! I sent numerous emails to them, with no reply, they probably lost out on a fair bit of potential business because of it too about B2W schemes, no skin off my nose. I sent repeat emails with fewer questions, straight to the point, not one you would say "I'll read that monster later". This was about a €3K+ bike, not a puncture repair kit.

Just pick up the phone and give them a buzz. There's always someone on the till who should normally answer.
I did ring, and they rang me. I hate not having a paper trail of proof that texts or emails leave, REALLY hate it and highly value it. I also like to have time to think about things and research rather than be expected to give confirmation in seconds.

In one last email attempt I had all the prices and agreed discounts worked out and emailed to them to confirm. It was just a 1 liner email -no response. When I got there they had a different discount applied, lower than agreed of course, but I did get the agreed one, but I had to spot it, some might not have.

I was tipped off about this reneging on discount promises by another guy, if its a honest mistake fair enough, I wonder how many people they give too much discount to though...

Always found them OK in there. Rumoured that Chainreactions are opening 3 stores in the Republic..

Heard this very indirectly myself via someone who knows someone working in their HQ.... Would be interesting to see how they would get on, and where they would open....

Dublin and Cork, and either Limerick or Galway is what I heard. Doubt they will open 3 though, would be a brave move.
