Was autism only invented in the last 10 years? How did kids cope in the 1940's?

Not very well, iirc from the 50s. Forever doomed to be the slow one with no attention paid to them.

If you want to bring the child on a plane, do you have to have photos of the pilot and cabin crew beforehand?

Another awful show. PBH is very boring and he seems to attract a certain type of caller. Is Joe ever coming back?

This is not the sort of show I remember PBH hosting. I'd bet good money he was given a narrow field of scope to work with while Joe was away. The last time he was in the chair he was a breath of fresh air.

He likely wants to avoid being too good in case he gets offered the gig more often.
    Safety in boredom.

I'm likely never to say this again (unless the Pedanytic Boring Humanoid gets another 2 week stint) but please God let Joe be in on Monday.

So from reading today's thread I learned that the staff of Dunnes Stores in the Ilac Centre* are thieves (allegedly  ), that taxi drivers store their taxis in Long Kesh whilst racing around Mondello, and that today's show was boring.

*isn't Thomas Gear in the Ilac Centre?
    Yup...

Well at least the Dunnes staff didn't have far to go to get a quote.....allegedly of course.

To be honest I don't enjoy PBH at all in this show. He comes across as being smart alecky and pompous and just above every caller.

But then I wouldn't be a fan of his on radio at all...too preachy

I joined the Liveline club last week.
After years of trying to be sufficiently inconvenienced, impoverished and offended by the over officiousness of officialdom or the crassness of commercial concerns to warrant picking up the phone to 'talk to Joe', I finally crossed my threshold of intolerance.

The great one isn't back and instead we'll have the subjects of Croagh Patrick, Air BnB and random attacks made to sound even more boring than they already sound.

Arahsha, Joe's been off cumulatively for months at this stage.
    What gives?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 53,028 ✭✭✭✭ButtersSuki

I'm out before we even start, I can't take any more of PBH's boring nonsense. I think I'd rather watch the telly for the afternoon....even if it was switched off.

These muppets should have to sign a disclaimer saying if they need rescue they would fully finance their own rescue.
