Purchased this product from Detailing Shed a while back.

Have to say its the best product i've ever used. The gloss is unreal, but the beading qualities of it are unbelievable, even after 5 weeks.
When power washing the car the water just flows off it, and once cleaned it looks awesome. Rain is still flowing off it like a waterfall and it looks like it was just recently polished.

One thing i will add, after the initial coat the paint did come up with plenty of holograms, but its quite possible that was down to my application methods. In fact im 90% certain it was :o:D

I'll update and let you all know how long it lasts, however i must add that i didnt clay the car beforehand as i didnt have the time, but couldnt recommend this stuff enough.

But if there's rain about i'll take a pic some morning and show the beading. No prob.

Plan is to wash it this weekend so i'll try get something up.

Perfect, I don't mind the time as I want to do it right. I saw the Group Buy alright but I wasn't able to at the time.

Is their any excess machines floating about? :P:pac:

    Hi There

As luck would have it I'm about to put one of these up for sale on Adverts.ie. Used only once on a one-day car detailing course and it hasn't left the box since! If you're interested I can pm you some details and a good Boardsie price. (Mods: apologies if this is in breach of the forum rules, but its a response to a specific request so I hope that's okay?)

    Regards

    Austin

I use Meguiars gel tyre dressing and find it very good, just make sure the tyres are washed clean
The applicator is worth buying also.

You'd only have to rent a local GAA club for a similar event here; the detailing following, isnt a patch on the UK.

    Hi Guys
Looking at the CG Hyper Coat here
Some of my trim is pretty faded and also has been contaminated with wax. Would this remove the wax and bring it back to shiny perfection? Or, would it just cover the wax and have to be applied again 3 weeks latter like most of those back to black type products?

    Cheers
    G

Anyone know how to remove black stains from alloy wheels? I think it's brake dust that has built up over the years.

I've already tried tar remover, all purpose cleaner, claying, Bilt Hamber Korrosol, WD40 and Car Plan's Wonder Wheel which is the best wheel cleaner on the market apparently.

None of these have worked so far. After some vigorous rubbing there is some transfer to the cloth but still not effective.

You need to remove wax and stains otherwise your just covering it over.

Use a good all purpose cleaner (APC) and or a iso alcohol type cleaner. Check out a detailing site like detailingshed.com or danddcleaning or cleanyourcar.Co.UK.

Then you can slap the dressing of choice on, they will need topping up every so often (3-4 months).

You need a fall out remover and some elbow grease. Iron cleanse/iron x etc etc

I would have thought Korrosol would work, have you been leaving it on some time. Rub it in with a brush to agitate to

It could be burnt on now and only option is for a wheel refurb.

I was thinking that Korrosol would work for definite but no matter how much I agitate it, it won't come off.

If you rub it with a cloth some does come off but it's not making any difference visually and at this rate it would take weeks of continuous rubbing

I was hoping there was a secret to getting rid of this stuff. Looks like a refurb is the only option :(

Use the product and rub in with a green pad.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 728 ✭✭✭Pops_20

Use the product and rub in with a green pad.

I tried the green pad just now but no luck. It helps in removing the lighter stains but for the heavier staining it just runs a bit in the product but its too heavily baked on.

Have you tried tar remover ?

Lightly rub wire wool or brilo pad but I mean gentle

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,377 ✭✭✭Curran

If repeated attempts with Korrosol hasnt worked, them Im afraid they are beyond saving with a cleaning product; they will need a refurb.
Not sure who informed you that Car Plan's Wonder Wheel is the best on the market, or that WD40 would work, but you were mis-informed.

You have tried just about all that can be tried; going at them with a brillo pad or wire wool, while it may work, will inflict other damage; you will be left with lots of light scratching - but perhaps this is a better appearance than the black spots.

The best wheel cleaner on the market is actually Bilt Hamber's AutoWheel ;)

Source: I use it and I love it......and that's all that matters :D

For it to be voted best by Auto Express, means its the best that they've tested. Also, I wonder what their criteria is for best cleaner - something that simply gets the wheel clean...or something that is capable of doing it while being totally safe on all finishes, etc.

Its a bit like some of the awards on Detailing World - its based on the peoples vote, but if there are 6 products up for Best Wheel Cleaner, people vote based on using perhaps 2 of the 6....for it to be fair, they should have used every one. The 2 of 6 they have tried may have been from the companies with the biggest marketing budget, or the cheapest product etc....so then, naturally, they'll get more votes.

I would never tell someone that X product is the best on the market, but rather, from what Ive tried, X is by far the best!
