    Hi,

planning to do bit of training to improve speed in shorter runs (ie street of Galway)

What distance is one length of the track?
and I assume everybody can use it?

    cheers

Hi turniton. One length is 100m. Are you following a structured plan? There is an increased risk of injury if you jump into speedwork too quickly and/or with inadequate preparation.

Not quite true. One length (i.e. from the end of one turn to the start of the next) is more like 85m. It depends on the exact radius of the semi-circle, which has an allowable range. That's why the 100m starts quite a bit back from the start of the straight:

Haha, I was about to post exactly what you did. Good to know there's others equally as pedantic. :)

The straight tends to range from 75m to 100m in my experience. Usually it's around 90m though.
