Buckingham Palace defends footage of Queen's Nazi salute

    Buckingham Palace has defended footage from 1933 that shows a young Queen performing a Nazi salute with her family at Balmoral.

    The film, obtained by The Sun, shows the Queen, then aged six or seven, join the Queen Mother and her uncle Prince Edward, the Prince of Wales, in raising an arm in salute as she played alongside her younger sister, Princess Margaret.

    Who do you reckon will be more upset by this news, The British people/taxpayers they sponge off or the West Brits in Dublin 4 (who'd sign a oath of allegiance to her and waving their Union Jacks in the Phoenix Park in 2011) ?

    6 year old makes a gesture that became offensive many years later?

    That's like getting a Celtic cross tattoo and then going to a football match in Italy and realising it's a white power symbol.

    She didn't know the symbolism when she made the gesture. The only people it will upset are those who don't like her, or the Royal family, or "Brits", or even your "West Brits" and who will insist it's significant.

    Oh no!!! Why didn't they warn us sooner! It's so obvious with hindsight now, to see how the Future Queen was able to undermine British democracy and morale which led to the inevitable Nazi victory in WW2.

    The Sun is showing its class yet again with this non-story. This was probably 10 years before the holocaust or WW2 at a time where the nazis were just another political party. But I'm sure that 8 year old child new exactly what the nazis were up to
