So should we try him or is OP looking for him to released?

If the yanks have a case and jurisdiction let him go if they don't have jurisdiction but he did commit a crime in Ireland we should deal with him.

no . not let him go. he must be kept in ireland at all costs. murka's illegitimate trial must not be facilitated

Well looks like you don't know the first thing about extraditions...

    http://www.thejournal.ie/irish-citizen-deported-united-states-deported-algerian-2116734-May2015/

Though I don't think the citizenship aspect should give Davis any protection.
it should. he has no chance of a fair trial, just one where things will be made up and dramatized and the rest

    Pack him off .

He knew what exactly he was involved in aspergers is no excuse

If the Americans are willing to pay his stay in jail why is one complaining ? Would you rather we pay from him in jail here for some reason ?

Because this is not simply a matter of cost. It is a matter of supremacy. If Irish law states the person can only extradited for a crime they committed if they were in that country, why would we extradite someone who wasn't in their country just because their laws say so?

US law does not, and should not, supersede Irish law.

Just because the DPP are not going after him does not say he did not commit a crime. At a minimum he is an accessory to crime. Due to not reporting criminal activity to the Garda, I'm guessing the DPP are not going after him as the Americans are.

Ok so he should be in Jail here. What's the difference why not let the Americans pay for his stay in jail in America ?

    For what?

Not sure what Ireland owes this individual such that we would risk a reputation internationally for harbouring crims. I believe the U.S. judges understand Asbergers plenty good. Book him Danno.
book him for what. were not harbouring criminals (yes criminals not crims) . he commited the crime here. **** international reputation. us extraditing him would be actually dangerous for us as we would be giving up our jurisdiction. irish law over rules US law. i can't believe you would be happy to give up our jurisdiction for some mythical international reputation

    Ok. So no trial here.

What now if you did something illegal in America on this site, but legal in Ireland. This site doesnt have servers in the U.S. How far does the imperial reach of America go -- to the borders of all the world.

One less demanding burdensome PITA for our society .
no . our society's job to deal with criminals who commit crime in ireland. none of america's business with their illegitimate trial. so your happy to give up our jurisdiction as well? jesus, the amount who want this country to have no jurisdiction or law at all is frightening

Yet people here are wanting Ireland's laws to supersede Egyptian for example. Odd world view.

there would be no deterrent to this. people will use this type of stuff no matter what, just like people will commit crimes no matter what. if we want just simple punishments for those caught using however

The problem with that is that there's more than just Tor, and trying to police it would cost an arm and a leg. Heck, not even everyone uses Tor for illegal deeds (though most would, yes), some just don't want corporations having their info.

Yeah, have to make it simple. Too expensive and time consuming all this 'rico' stuff.

Morsi was trying to become a tin-pot dictator and the military removed him to ensure democracy... And Egypt's military isn't even in power any more, Sisi took over back in 2012.
