We'll have great fun with these codes, they just don't make any sense.

For example - I live in Killaloe and I'm less than 0.5km from Ballina in Tipperary, yet I have a Limerick address. Limerick is over 20kms away.
I'd say there'll be some crack in O' Brien's Bridge where the three counties meet.

my mate done some contract work for the FSAI, he said there were people paid to watch the UK one all day and copy the info across if any new products came up

I've had a lot of involvement, indirectly with the FSAI. The FSAI here are an impressive organisation, and their standards in Ireland are often more stringent, and different, than the UK.

And it make sense to use info already out there on products that are sold in Ireland, it would be absurd to have people replicate the work already done elsewhere to pretty much the same standard.

Unless when you say FSAI you don't mean the Food Safety Authority of Ireland ?

At least O'Briensbridge (Clare) and Montpellier (Limerick) are twin villages, they'll get other the Limerick address.

They sell the same tack rubbish, it's the shops who differentiate themselves from this that survive.
