Thanks for the advice, but I've already got a guy on standby who is going to confound them with Latin if anything goes wrong.

    Eircode will be discussed.
    Bingo phrases today.

Shannon Airport is in Limerick, Cavan is in Meath and all the Irish people to complain about their addresses not being able to be used.

    Cavan is in Meath

They want to be in Meath, but we cant let them invade like the Dubs did.

There already is a postcode system used within An Post. Afaik, every house/farm/shed has a unique ID and that system could have been easily rolled out in simplified form.
Of course, that wouldn't have given an easy earner to some pals of those in power, would it?

    Ah bollocks,

I was hoping for some UFC/Conor McGregor discourse/hysteria.

The new eircode postal codes seem to be about as useful as the e-voting machines

Philip is the right man for this subject, i.e. it's utterly boring. Plus, Joe would be confused with all the numbers.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,886 ✭✭✭✭Roger_007

Is this just going to be a string of calls about errors or anomalies in the Eircode? If so its going to be very boring!

    www.eirecode.ie.
    "Server not found".
Brilliant stuff - this is some sort of clue as to how it will work, I assume.

    I think it's www.eircode.ie Dan.

If that doesn't work, trying putting in its code. God knows where you will end up.

You can only do 15 searches, so idiotic, if you were doing your addresses for Christmas cards you would need to just have the 15 friends.

"Would you bring your mare to a place called Cockeye?"

Another national embarrassment this eircode fiasco , unbelievable but not surprising .

Utterly brilliant - my fecking caravan has its own postcode.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,585 ✭✭✭✭Lady Chatterton

As a proud Clare woman I'm not happy with my new Limerick address :(

On a serious note, I hope my home insurance provider doesn't use my Limerick address when calculating my house insurance premium.
