Oh wow, that's a unique and highly intelligent point you've made that I've never seen before.

The usual nasty little cohort of Daily Mail readers, who never pass up an opportunity to sneer at people who they believe are below them.

In fairness, Joe gets most abuse from us and he's certainly not from the weaker section of society. On top of that, the way he can conveniently forget what his salary is while talking to the people on such small amounts is a bit rich, if you excuse the pun. The amount he gets for just the duration of any of their calls, would more than sort out their problems for some time.

That's is why he gets the dosh he gets.

Well done, that wasn't hard to spit out and not hide behind your vague claims.

Now excuse me while I have a cup of Tetleys and get back to the letters page of the Daily Mail. (Can you even buy that here ?)

I notice Joe didn't ask the air b&b woman if she paid taxes on her nice little earner she has going.

That's the Irish one, I don't think it's as Little Englander as the little England version. So maybe getting back to the Irish Daily Mail is not too bad a slur so.

Don't be looking down at the little business person trying to make a quick buck.

Obviously, you can get the Irish version here, but it's quite heavily toned-down and probably doesn't have quite enough embittered right-wing spite for your liking. You'd love the UK version though. You might be able to get it in larger newsagents, such as Easons. Alternatively, most of its content (especially the really nasty reactionary stuff) is available for free on their website. Knock yourself out. :)

Cheers. Any like minded right wing zealot want to go halfsey on a subscription?

If you did read any of my posts though before getting morally outraged you'll see I'm not the right wing bogey man people are trying to make out to be, I'm a relative moderate for the Liveline thread.

Well if you insist. I'll start out with pointing out your poor punctuation and lack of use of capital letters at the start of sentences. There's really no need for it when we have spell checking and auto correct.

    Bloody proles.

Oh look!, its another painfully unfunny and cretinous remark to add to the many you have vomited in this thread, the hilarity. I wish you well. ;-)

I go away for a few days and World War III breaks out on the thread. Normally I'm the cause of it or at least a party to it, I'm disappointed in myself....so to speak.

Who knows if she does or she doesn't but the question would have tied in nicely with the Greek view of paying such taxes. Joe must be losing whatever edge he once had if he missed that one!

More reaction to Catherine Byrne's Dáil comments and those made here yesterday
Also, a woman asked to 'prayerfully consider' donating €1000 a year for to the Dublin Diocese

Joe's probably struggling too as the cost of aviation fuel for the Lear Jet is only going up, the water charges are impacting on how often he can clean the moate around the chateau, and the property tax on the chateau is obviously north of €1,000. Throw in da tree twins going to uni in September (or maybe they're already in college?) and even he will struggle on his "budget".

Good job he gets artists exemption from the profits of his upcoming Buke about de chislers of 1916....

She could have said no, or just offered whatever she could afford if she did want to contribute in some way.

Joe would ask for a lot more than a €1000 a year.
